Unfortunately no news so far on Apple side. Updates (1.x -> 1.9999x) will always be free.
Anyway, RawPrime works flawlessy on Rosetta 2, overhead is negligible.
Xhun Audio RawPrime : an original synthesis concept, established on... Aliasing (on purpose) !

What's the issue with porting your plugins to native Apple Silicon, like any other developer?
Apple will discontinue Rosetta 2 with the Golden Gate OS, so it will be impossible to use your plugins on the next OS versions.

No controversy, really. But in a normal context, it's not a developer's job to constantly chase the whims of OS producers (in this case, Apple).
It is, instead, the duty of OS producers to provide solid backward compatibility with all the legacy software for that platform. This is what OS makers did (when there was still any seriousness in the industry), instead of filling OSes with trendy nonsense and "AI for the plebeians" (just to steal and resell private data).
In this case, there would literally be no reason to discontinue Rosetta 2, but Apple decided so, unilaterally. I believe Apple users themselves should have a duty to speak up to Apple about this matter.
Personally, I'm not concerned by Apple's moves, but at the same time, I have no need to be "politically correct". Perhaps if the majority of developers had been more upright in the past, Apple would have reconsidered its decision (and the same goes for the Apple Store, Notarization, Paid dev accounts, Gatekeeper, etc.). But that wasn't the case, unfortunately.
It's the usual boiled frog scenario. Let's hope it doesn't happen with Android and Google (the Sept 2026 problem) too. Let's hope this trend doesn't spread further.

Thank you, that's good to know. So, just to summarize for clarity:
- there is no native apple silicon version of RawPrime currently in development, and
- there are no intentions of providing such a version in the foreseeable future.
