It's a sad state of affairs when a new and interesting plugin gets 3 pages of comments while yet another in a long line of emulated garbage from a bygone era gets 15 pages. Seriously, how many prophet V clones does the world really need?

So, it's like a bass synth, but with OTT—not having OTT tucked in the corner of the effects section like Serum or Vital, but right there, front and center. Putting it front and center makes perfect sense because that type of compressor has a profound impact on certain sounds and deserves its own dedicated focus. While OTT works wonders on many instruments beyond just bass, this specific integration would be incredibly powerful. I am waiting for a synthesizer that integrates OTT into the main interface from the start because it truly does magic.

Sadly, there is a reason developers keep churning emulations year after year.

very, very true...how much more is there to discuss about emulations... boring stuff

Yeah, and Rumbllle is really good. I'm having a great time with it, making loads of usable patches and, more importantly, finding places to use them in songs.

I had a quick go. Unsurprisingly they seem to be using some elements from Falcon, but the modulators seem a lot more basic. What's with the LFOs, no random phase start? No option to use the random modulator to randomise an LFO phase start?

I dont understand this synth. It looks like just a modern synth with 3 band eq and ott on top?

This is done in Synths like Serum, Current, PhasePlant and many other synths.

What am i missing or not understanding about Rumble?

Have you looked at the website linked in the first post?

The second sentence says "[The three bands] each carry their own oscillator, wave-shaper, and effects, then converge through a shared filter stage, multiband compressor, and master EQ, to produce a powerful, unified voice."

And how much does Serum cost? How much extra shit do you have to wade through to get to the good stuff? f**k Serum, this thing is so easy to work with its not funny. Great sounds fall out of it almost every time you change a setting.

249 USD, Rumble costs 199 eu. Not a huge difference.

Also there is PhasePlant where you can separate oscillators along with filters and envelopes in to separate bands. You can save that as an init preset.

I somehow overlooked that, thanks!

Yeah, I was wondering how closely you could mimic the architecture in Phase Plant, it seems well suited. At least then you would get proper modulators.

Rumble is $99 at the moment, so the difference is considerable (and $99 is my hard limit for plugins). I agree that at full price it would be very hard to justify but for $99 it has enough to make it worth spending the money.

I've had PP for ages but I never use it. I thought I'd like it because I could make a few simple set-ups to use as INIT patches but even doing that it's still way too fiddly. And I don't like it's filters. They've tried to address that but not in a useful way. In just two days I've made more patches for Rumble than I've made in PP in 5 or 6 years.

Noticed a couple annoying UI things.
-Unsaved changes dialog pops up everytime I tweak a setting and try to change presets. There needs to be an option to disable this.
-Plugin preferences revert to default when loading a new instance.
I'm on mac.
