Bitwig's Revamped Sampler in Bitwig 6.1 looks pretty amazing. New spectral timestretch mode, new slicing mode (with transient preserving mode), a new granular mode (in addition to the old one). Also vintage sample playback modes (per voice). What's really cool is that the slicing works with all the other modes like granular and stretch.

Agreed! This was a fantastic update! I don't use Bitwig (nothing wrong with it, just expensive), but this update makes me want to use it.
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

It made me finally update a license I haven't updated in a couple years. With Bitwig's whole modulation system, the sampler is even more powerful. Not to mention the sample is also a module in the modular system. So yeah worth as just a big sample mangling platform alone.audiojunkie wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2026 5:20 pm Agreed! Yeah, and the format is open too! Convert With Moss supports it, so it should be really easy to bring all of your sample libraries into the ecosystem. I like Reaper, so don’t get me wrong—but with Bitwig supporting Linux, it is really tempting to pick Bitwig up on one of their sales.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2026 6:06 pmIt made me finally update a license I haven't updated in a couple years. They have at times included a u-he synth or equivalent with a Bitwig sale...maybe waiting for something like that.
But this sampler has pushed me over into wanting to get my Bitwig license and learn it.
