I ended up deleting the demo and sticking with KGE. No regrets. I stand by my earlier comment.

Still in constant use here. Here are some presets I've used in actual productions this year (mostly for mastering but also some mixbus for mixing into).
Unisum bM presets for 2024
Hint: If you want to get the same amount of gain reduction for my presets that I've actually targeted in the mix/master, look at the makeup gain knob and try to match the amount. You can hit the "auto" button and see if the knob changes. If it increases the makeup gain amount, then you are hitting the compression harder than I was.

Same. I can't justify paying that much even at 50% off, when I already have TDR Kotelnikov GE.vitocorleone123 wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2024 1:32 pm I ended up deleting the demo and sticking with KGE. No regrets. I stand by my earlier comment.

You can certainly use it for that. Unisum lives on my mastering chain, but I find it overly complex for use outside of mastering.djgraver wrote: Mon Jun 22, 2026 10:49 am Has anyone used Unisum for vocals? I’m trying to find a replacement for Rvox
I recommend demoing the Relab 176. Massive CPU hog, but does exactly what you want on vocals and very quick to dial in. I typically use a 'cleanup' compressor with faster attack/release to mimic an 1176 on individual vocal tracks, then run the the Relab on the vocal buss for overall vocal smoothing. It just levels and pushes the vocals up front exactly where you want them. Used dozens of compressor plugins on vox over the years and IMO nothing comes close to it. Different topology, but reminds me of a much dirtier version of the very expensive Tube Tech CL1-B hardware that I used a lot back in the day.
