To late:
I've just spent my Hard Earned on Cubase SL...I need MIDI SYNC and am not willing to sit around and wait for TRACTION2 to arrive....!!!!
I wan't to make music now...not in 5 years when they finally release that shit..!!!
Its a shame..I loved T1 for what it did workflow wise but in the end I had to face the facts..!!!

Yeah, don't let the door hit you.........
Really though. Is it really necessary to come in and say that you were tired of waiting and left for another host. This bugs me(and others) so much. Who cares. Go have fun with your software. But remember, Steinberg is known for bugs, because they DON'T wait to release things. I'll take my stable T2 over ANY version of Cubase, old and new, cutdown or full.
So you know T2 will have MIDI sync, and you "loved" T1 so much, that you just couldn't wait and moved on. Yeah, really logical. So go, use your new friend, but don't forget that nobody here really cares is you moved on. Just go quietly. Oh, and remember, Mackie aren't changing their plans because of your news. As a matter of fact, nobody is.
Not be be mean, but it just seems that people think they have to do this. Really, whatever works for you is great. Make music, and show your heart. That's what it's really all about, right?

(Ya know, I can't help but get cranky here lately. Some people just seem to annoy me(and I'm sure I annoy some people)). I'm really a nice guy, but it seems like this place is being taken over by children. I need to get back to being nice.

Bah, don't worry or apologize. Makes me cranky, too. Especially when MIDI sync is announced, T2 release is announced and publicized, and the only thing missing is a release date and price.
Have fun with Cubase... or at least try... some people love it, but if you already know you love T1, I don't see the sense in moving on, and the odds are that you're going to regret your purchase.

I'm not apolagizing to him, just to the fact that me being negative hasn't exactly helped the forum a whole lot. So I guess I'm apolagizing to those who DON'T give any trouble.
I really could care less if I offend someone who thinks that we give a crap about them moving on. It's annoying, and pretty much is trolling. If you think making these announcements will matter, think again. We don't really care. Have a nice day(but not here).
And I agree, they will regret their decision.
(I'll put $10 on their bluff. They'll be raving about T2 within 6 months)

Oh, I knew what you were apologizing for. I still say you've no need to. I haven't noticed you being particularly negative, except to the people who've deserved it. <laff>koolkeys wrote:I'm not apolagizing to him, just to the fact that me being negative hasn't exactly helped the forum a whole lot. I know its not clear...could be old info but i got it from here:bluedog wrote:Hey d'v,d'versa wrote:nah, don't think so...i guess release will be more close to summer.
Found this on the traction site:I wish they did release it on namm**Additional Note: This promotion will not run indefinitely. We are reluctant at this time to declare a closing date for this promotion based on the final release date of v2. Expect an update sometime this summer on the status of the v2 release as well as a more definitive end of the promotion. Don't worry... we'll give you plenty of notice for you to find a few more friends to purchase Tracktion before we close the door. Thanks for playing.
is this with regards to T2?...not quite clear...if so, which page of which of the tracktion sites did you find this?
Thaks.

Hey,
Does everyone know that at the 04 NAMM, Mackie handed out NFR copies of T1?
That's how I got mine - way before the freebie blitz at the end of 04.
I've got a buddy who will be at NAMM later today. He has specific instructions from me to head immediately to the Mackie booth and snoop for NFR disks of T2.
Anyhow, I bought T1 on that e-bay auction to give me an upgrade path to T2 when it does finally come out. I'm hoping today is the day.

HI
If people don't air their frustration or the reason why they couldn't 'stick around' and wait any longer why should that upset anyone?
As long as they don't trash a program others are obviously getting much pleasure from I would say that it is probably a 'positive' bit of input from a devs point of view - 'hey I switched to so and so host because I work with lots of external hardware and I couldn't use that hardware with your application without mega compromises - but hey if you implement it maybe i'll return'.
I had some similar responses when I stated I was leaving Logic PC - I really think it's the point of a forum for people to interject their experiences, if the person has the experiences I am having with SX he might well be back!
PS I don't use Tracktion but am VERY interested in what V2 might offer.
Flipper.
