Do you have Xonar DX Audio Center software is in an ASUS folder in the START menu ?
Seems like you have configuration issue, it may not be set to headphone but rather surround/home theater/Cinema...
If you have Xonar DX Audio software there should be an option to set the Analog output to headphone, at least as far as I understand...
If you don't have the Xonar software and running on whatever Microsoft decided to use as driver you might see if any of the common settings makes any difference... and turn off any Enhancement effects like spatial audio and so on..

"Pictus" Windows Tweaks and Stuff.
2025-06-04T20:52:46+00:00
A shorter tutorial that shouldn't break the CRAP way Windows/AMD handle threads/scheduling on CPUs with 3D cache and 2 CCDs
like the AMD 7900X 3D /7950X 3D /9900X 3D /9950X 3D . (No problem when using Process Lasso)
With the tweaks Windows will be more snappy with lower Windows DPC(Deferred Procedure Call), less DPC spikes and higher GPU frame rates.
The tweaks are intended for desktop users, as they can cause the system to consume more power.
You can measure the DPC with https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
- First update the motherboard BIOS. (ASRock example, the others are +- the same)
https://youtu.be/fqKs9fekNNY
To update the motherboard BIOS in the ASRock X870e NOVA.
https://i.imgur.com/cOVBIYk.png
And plug the USB audio interface in one of the ASRock yellow/orange USB ports.
- Install a de-bloated Windows.
How to create a de-bloated Windows 10/11 installation ISO.
(Do not disable UAC and do not enable WDAC policy!)
https://schneegans.de/windows/unattend-generator/
Here and MY autounattend.xml you can import to use as a starting point.

Tweak to suit your needs.
https://i.imgur.com/vUiprFB.png
The video guide!
https://youtu.be/WyLiJl-NQU8
When ready, copy the tweaked autounattend.xml to the Windows installation USB flash drive.
Keep the system physically offline during installation.
It's worth checking out https://memstechtips.com/blog/ :tu:
- Install the drivers, chipset /LAN/Audio Interface/GPU.
(IF you are not gaming, can install the GPU driver only. For NVidia check here .)
https://i.imgur.com/tEuU8zr.png
In the latest AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 26.5.2 driver , AMD Crash Defender will not automatically reinstall after manual uninstallation. No extra tricks are needed to prevent it from returning, but if you install a new driver, you will need to repeat the process.

With https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
I also like to deselect some AMD stuff, go to TAB Scheduled Tasks and deselect the AMD stuff you find there.
https://i.imgur.com/xXkw9Lq.png
Should avoid installing unnecessary stuff like ASRock Motherboard Utility,
Blazing OC Tuner, APP Shop, Norton, ASRock Polychrome RGB, SignalRGB,
ASUS AI Advisor, Armoury Crate & Aura Creator Installer and MSI Center.
- Do the Windows update
- Start Windows maintenance and wait it to finish the tasks.
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/manually-start-or-stop-automatic-maintenance-in-windows-11.16734/
- Install your programs/etc
- Create a System Restore Point!
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/create-system-restore-point-in-windows-11.3602/
Now you are free to do some tweaks:
- Disable Windows Hibernate
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-hibernate-in-windows-11.1894/
- Disable Dynamic Tick
Right-click the Start menu and select Command Prompt (Admin).
First, enter bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes and press Enter.
- Disable Windows Platform Binary Table (WPBT) Execution
https://www.linkedin.com/posts/dragosruiu_your-motherboard-firmware-can-inject-a-windows-activity-7439683467803766786-V1vo
Run that from an elevated command prompt
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager" /v DisableWpbtExecution /d 1 /t REG_DWORD /f
- Disable Microsoft Edge from running in background
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-new-microsoft-edge-running-background-windows-10
I use this https://www.sordum.org/9312/edge-blocker-v2-0/
Maybe disable other stuff too

- Do this
https://i.imgur.com/vvtFJsG.png
- Go to Settings>Personalization>Colors = Disable Transparency Effects
https://i.imgur.com/aMga2q0.png
- For the drives(SSD/HD) enable the "Turn off Windows write-cache buffer flushing on the device"
Step 1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
Step 2. Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter to launch Device Manager.
Step 3. Expand Disk drives and right-click on the disk drive you want to enable/disable
disk write caching to choose Properties. Here, we select an internal storage drive.
Step 4. Under the Policies tab, choose from "Enable write caching on the device" and
"Turn off Windows write-cache buffer flushing on the device".

- A hack for boosting NVMe SSD performance on Windows 11.
https://www.neowin.net/news/report-microsoft-quietly-blocks-windows-11-25h2-24h2-performance-boost-hack-for-ssds/
BitLocker, Samsung Magician, and Western Digital Dashboard are apparently not compatible
with the new driver.
- Disable Core Parking
https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/
If you are using AMD 7900X 3D /7950X 3D /9900X 3D /9950X 3D only disable if you are using Process Lasso
-Set Windows Power Plan to Ultimate Performance
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/change-power-plan-in-windows-11.1439/
AMD 7900X 3D /7950X 3D /9900X 3D /9950X 3D
Must KEEP Windows Power Plan to BALANCED!
*Else* if you use Process Lasso , look at the videos in the next post.
IF your version of Windows does not have Ultimate Performance , in the
Command Prompt or PowerShell window, copy the command provided below.
powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61 [/COLOR]
I created a BAT file https://www.mediafire.com/file/p5tardur3oqhp8a/Pictus_Power_Plan.bat/file
(Run it as Administrator) this will automatically set Ultimate Performance Power Plan to:
Processor performance time check interval = 5000
Processor idle demote threshold = 95%
Processor idle promote threshold = 95%
USB selective suspend setting = Disabled
PCI Express>Link State Power Management = OFF
But, if you want to do it manually, check the steps below:
- Get this http://www.mediafire.com/file/wt37sbsejk7iepm/PowerSettingsExplorer.zip
And unselect "Processor performance time check interval" and set it to 5000
https://i.imgur.com/R8PsIWs.png
Also unselect "Processor idle demote/promote threshold" and set it to 95%
https://i.imgur.com/KjCFIuY.png
- Disable "USB selective suspend setting" and "PCI Express Link State Power Management".
https://i.imgur.com/3rJBpzg.png
- I don't use it, but a lot of people like it.
