Maybe Cake will have the muscle to make sfz+ Giga compatible again (Giga3 too?).

Ron Kuper of Cakewalk is very smart *and* totally behind open formats. He's heavy in the committee currently formulating the new universal music plug-in spec (can't come soon enough for me!).

Yeah, seems unlikely there will ever be Mac versions of RGC:Audio plugs now. Rene was never that keen on Mac coding and it seems unlikely that Apple would want to implement a DirectX API just to run Sonar

I do hope that the MultiModeSampler (or Uber++ as it was codenamed ) might be available as a VSTi, or that Project 5 v2 will have a VST incarnation. Still, I'd probably use Rewire if necessary

I wonder of Rene' is being retained by Cakewalk in a consulting capacity and whether he continue to develop products independently or only on behalf of Cakewalk.

Where can I read more about the universal music plug-in spec? This is definitely news to me.

you shouldn't make fun of perpetual motion machines though. i once invented one! might have made me rich, too! the saudis were shitting their pants already.

and affordable american health care is in your reach too: just join the army, you'll get free medical care in the Iranian desert.

It looks like Cakewalk is trying to get the best tech for its platform. Look out Steinberg!!!
Hopefully Yamaha will not dissapoint us by buying out Steinberg.
