Make something modular or semi-modular. It can be inspired by Roland synths, but give us lots of modulation options, etc.

See Korg Multi/Poly for reference. That's a semi-modular with a modern GUI and a beautiful sound.
A well-behaved signature.

Semi-modular would be neat. Or something like Diva where you can mix-and-match between the different oscillators and filters that you’ve modeled would be cool, too.

Also I still need to finish the MIDI mod to the hardware, before I can use it again. It's on the shelf in pieces rn.
Ask Roger if you can use the EPROMS. I can imagine he will give you permission. He doesn’t value those old sounds very high anyway… And he is the nicest guy in this industry imaginable…

good idea! Maybe one day a "MorphModular "with all the OSC/VCF/VCA and Effect DSP I modeled over the xears interchanable. I'll keep that in mind :)

There are so many Jupiter 8 Emulations out there now that i think it will be hard to try to sell another one.

I would stay away from making a SH-101, TB-303, Juno (Except for maybe a 106) or a Jupiter 4 If i where making Roland plugins.
There is already released so many of them in Digital Hardware and software and i think most people are already happy with the ones they have.

If you for want to go for a Jupiter 8 for example you would need to make it a bit more interesting so it stands out in the Crowd by adding a extra sub oscillator or a Extra Oscillator or something else that can make it go beyond the limitations of a pure Jupiter 8 when the user want it to do so.

Adding a Vintage knob or slider won't be enough to make it more interesting than the other Jupiter 8's.
