Ok, so, I'm not happy with the end result, but I need to stop fiddling with it. I like some of the individual parts, but as a whole feels a bit soulless. The mix isn't very good either, that doesn't help
I think the main failing was that I was originally trying to force a vision for the sound design onto OB-Xf, rather than letting it actually dictate the direction and play to its strengths, so the end result is a mix of things thrown together that I don't feel nearly as cohesive as they should be.
It was a good playground for some different stuff though - side-chained compression, reverb, bus compression (but probably not used very well), and some native DAW LFO automation of the synth options.
Keen for next month, I have some composition ideas I want to play with, and this time let the synth actually drive the sounds rather than ham-fisting shit together.
