For emulation, Audiorealism ABL3 is my best option. However, considering the price of the Behringer TD3-MO, I would also recommend getting that one as well for the added flavor.

The TD-3-MO differs from that TD-3 (SR/RD) by shipping with factory Devil Fish–style mods like sub-oscillator, longer slide, filter FM, distortion with a muffler/limiter, etc. but at that price it's a no-brainer.

Post

Apparently, the MO sounds less like a 303 than the TD-3, even with the Devilfish options bypassed.

I heard that too, did see a video that showed the diff, can't find it now.

I like the TD-3-MO with black lettering on a black background. Its what all of us death metal people use. :clown:

Honestly, I’m really into metal mixed with other styles, so I’m curious to hear what that would sound like :)

It just sounds like a bass guitar, of course. ;)

Except no low B. :hihi:

btw, my take on this subject (compared to my post from 3 years ago) is a lot different now that we have Tonex and NAM. The Roland plugin running through the Elektron Heat NAM profile is spot-on.
