Why can I NOT edit the transport controls on Keylab MK 3?

I can freely assign whatever CC or note for that matter to the transport controls on the Keylab Essential (via the PC app of course) however on the so-called "top of the line" master, the Keylab MK 3 this is not possible and they are hard-wired to notes?? I mean, notes -wtf? If you are going to hard-wire, at least make them conform to the MIDI transport control protocols!
