Anyway, I wish he would do vst3 for his stuff.

AQ is claiming "zero bug status across all our products, of which we’re so proud and that so few other companies can claim."
It's probably a lot easier to claim when you don't actually support modern formats or operating systems.

I own a license but I am afraid to click on any links on that mess of a website or even visit it.
I think I have to look for alternatives

Mike said ' VST3 and Apple Silicon are next but it will mean starting over and throwing away our 100% bug-free status and re-doing about 95% of the work that goes into a plugin, and we've already promised not to charge our customers for the next major version update so we make nothing from it, unlike Apple, Steinberg and the rest of the megacorporate industry that forced this unhelpful bloat on everyone. “we make nothing from it” is false. Mike will finally start making money from sales again, which I’m sure dried up a decade ago. So supporting VST3 and Apple Silicon are very much in his financial interest.
“Apple, Steinberg and the rest of the megacorporate industry that forced this unhelpful bloat on everyone.” Another unserious statement from an unserious person.

Said as if he is the only developer expected to be compatible with non-deprecated formats. And yeah providing formats people are actually using means people may actually buy them, so I’d say it’s in his financial interest. Also it’s fair to charge a bit for a major upgrade so that’s his choice. Some devs add some new features with paid format updates to sweeten the deal.SMH wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 4:07 pmMike said ' VST3 and Apple Silicon are next but it will mean starting over and throwing away our 100% bug-free status and re-doing about 95% of the work that goes into a plugin, and we've already promised not to charge our customers for the next major version update so we make nothing from it, unlike Apple, Steinberg and the rest of the megacorporate industry that forced this unhelpful bloat on everyone.'pekbro wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2026 10:33 pm I wonder how many years ago I bought that.

CLAP may be a good way to go as it seems there is a pretty easy CLAP to vst3 conversion.
