Crazy that D16 included an homage to the OG wavetable synth maker with the color of the PunchBox wavetable module and the knob, and they both just happened to release V2 updates on the same day.

After so many kickdrum plugins I own (Rob Papen Raw Kick/ SA Kick 3/ Punchbox V1/ Audija KickDrum/ Kick Ninja), a dedicated snaredrum module would be very welcome.

I dont get why this plugin doesnt contain all the various drum algos as modules from the D16 drum machines.
If it had snare and hats etc Id be all over this rather than ignoring it since day one.

upgraded as i really like d16 plugins and to support them but i dunno I kinda expected more for Punchbox 2? maybe I just needa play more with all the new features, just too spoiled with Kick from Sonic Academy, Kick Ninja etc where you can import and analyze kicks. expected this being possible here too......

Don't see the point in analyzing anything with so many kick generator options. Quite redundant and honestly, never-well-working feature.Caine123 wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 8:53 am upgraded as i really like d16 plugins and to support them but i dunno I kinda expected more for Punchbox 2? maybe I just needa play more with all the new features, just too spoiled with Kick from Sonic Academy, Kick Ninja etc where you can import and analyze kicks. expected this being possible here too......

I can't find a list of what the upgrades are from V1. Does anyone have a list?

Sweet. Big fan of Punchbox, so looking forward to exploring the new update.

WOW !
PunchBox 2 is the most sophisticated and deep Kick designer instrument I have seen.
So much customization to make the perfect sounding Kick, and experiment with new sonic options for making unique Kicks.

how does it install? does it update the first version? or do I have to delete it? does it use the samples from the first version?
what if I have a project with he first version saved? does it still work?
there is nothing about it in the manual. I want to know before I make the update, though :/
