I love some of the effects and oscillators and the 3-band concept . It's possible to do similar things inside my DAWs, but I do like this synth.

I also would def pick Serum 2, not even close (2nd pick would probably be Equator 2 atm). But thankfully I don't have to pick only 1 or 2 and I liked the 3-band concept enough (and I haven't given into my GAS long enough to rationalize this :) ) to give UVI some more money :D

That said:
- is there really just one fx slot per band?
- as others have already asked, where are the 150 and 175% UI resize options?
- why no option to hide the macros - the modulation panel already can be hidden but might be much more important for some workflows
- I guess there's no need to go as deep as Xfer and give us stuff like LFO-point (or in this case MSEG-point) modulation, but some more modulation options such as crossmodulation would be nice
- I understand it goes a bit against the mix-focused philosophy of the synth, but being able to modulate the crossover frequency would be cool

That's my 0.02€ for the moment...

You know you can resize the GUI to any size you like, right? Just drag on the bottom-right corner.

There are multiple cross-mod options - AM1 and AM2 - across the bottom od the Shaper box in the UI. There is also Hard Sync in the Analog oscillator type, as well as a whole osc type devoted to FM type sounds (I think it's the Prism osc but you'd have to consult the manual).

Really? I hadn't particularly noticed that. I suppose I've been sticking to the analogue oscillator type mostly so it probably hasn't come up for me much.
why cant this be a standard to change parameters/selections also with a mousewheel? ;).
They are probably Mac (L)users who don't understand what a mousewheel is because Apple tells them it's irrelevant. But I agree, being able to go through a drop-down selector by hovering your cursor and using the mousewheel is one of the great pieces of UI that so few developers seem to implement. When I was immersed in the discreet/Autodesk world it was de rigeur and when I was forced out of that and back into the Adobe world, it was like going back to Windows for Workgroups 3.1.
also why can you MUTE the bands but not SOLO?
That does seem a bit strange but it's just one extra click and you can solo an oscillator, but it goes full bandwidth when you do, which isn't always useful. I reckon it's something they'd definitely add in an update as pretty much everyone is scratching their heads over its omission.

See, I told you they'd be Mac (L)users. But the CTRL+Click option is a nice one but not something you'd intuit, so thanks for pointing it out to us.

In applications like Xara Designer Pro and its siblings, you can hover your mouse over a dropdown selector and, as soon as your cursor changes, you can use your mousewheel to go through the options, in the same way you can "turn" a knob with your mousewheel in Rumble. It is so much more elegant than having to click, move your cursor to the next option, then click again to select it. Then, if that's not what you wanted you have to repeat the process multiple times until you find the one that works for you. And in Rumble that's not even possible with things like the Osc and Shaper types because you get a grid of icons when you open the drop-down. I can change the Depth, Curve and Knee in the Shaper with my mousewheel but I have to click through the Shaper types one by one, each involving multiple clicks. It feels quite inelegant.

Have a look at Synapse Audio's Genetics feature (in their patch browser). I can't believe everyone hasn't copied it by now, it is such a cool, clever feature.

Of course it does, it's Apple and if you ask them, they'll tell you it's for your own good when in reality it is to make any experience you have with Windows feels wrong, so that you're not tempted to climb over the garden wall and into the real world.

Hey Bones thanks a lot, that makes sense now for me about otrisan seemingly being a MAC user.
I dont care for windows vs linux vs apple to each their own but otrisan/UVI I use a mac for work as well, well macbook and dont use a mouse mostly so i never understood why there is no right click and it seems no mousewheel too? not everything on MAC is better than windows and vice versa, having no mousewheel is kinda strange for me as it makes things so much easier a lot of times.
please check it out or just buy/i can send you one for free :D a mouse with mousewheel so you understand.
it is important if you develop plugins/apps for both/more systems to understand also the periphery and functions of a OS.

the mousewheel is definitely something which makes things easier, as i said please implement it, apple users dont need to use it but for windows users it is a great advantage in comfortability and many other vsts use this too. for me this should be standard since some time around 2010s or so....

also yeah the genetic mutation function from Synpase is awesome! Hope Rumble will be worked on and not stopped getting updates, i bought it and love it already but the small quirks for workflow above really get me disappointed, i knew it before, i just have good faith in otrisan/UVI to improve these.

You can do that. A lot of factory preset actually uses this features.
Juste DnD a modulation on the spinner/label of the xover frequency.
