It sounds good and the price is nice, but I definitely don’t need another reverb. However, I just saw that I could upgrade from FX Collection v4 to v6 for $99 and this is included for free. That’s something to consider….

If Arturia support agrees, then they gonna fix the bug in 2030. it's Arturia.Vortifex wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2026 11:18 pm Weird plugin. Seems half baked. The displayed decay times bear no relation to the actual decay time. If I set it to 10 seconds the decay is done in about 5 seconds, and if I set it to 50 seconds it's over in about 8 seconds. I assume it's a bug, which I've reported. Definitely not a long enough reverb tail for serious ambient. (Edit: Arturia support agree that something is wrong and are looking into it)

I am staying away from all big brands who release a minor update every year and asks for money. I would rathen buy a plugin from a serious developer who is know by quality, not marketing.Korg Supporter wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 11:55 am I feel like I don't need this. Valhalla's Futureverb is the ultimate creative reverb.
Which is why I love Valhalla. They researched on a plugin for many years, and then release it.
Big brands like Arturia, UVI etc sells for cheap and sells paid update every year and all they do is duct tape their old code into new flashy ui and different signal flow.

Arturia don’t make you pay for updates. And certainly not each year.babaji wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 12:10 pm Big brands like Arturia, UVI etc sells for cheap and sells paid update every year and all they do is duct tape their old code into new flashy ui and different signal flow.

Every Pigments update is free. And they have actually improved its performance and given it multi-core support.babaji wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 12:10 pmI am staying away from all big brands who release a minor update every year and asks for money. Seriously, Pigments is one of the best supported software synths around. Not one payed update since its initial release. Other developers would have already have you spent a modern analog synth for updating from 1 - 7, just something to think about.

So, I upgraded from v4 to v6 and got 10 new effects for $99, including Ocean
I spent about an hour this morning checking Ocean out with various vocals and synths and I’m actually more impressed with it than I thought I would be. It’s definitely got a vibe and a clean and easy to navigate interface (I turned off the visuals, thanks for that option, Arturia). I didn’t check the manual for any hidden features, since it’s very straightforward, but maybe I should. It will certainly fall into a special-use category, but it’s pretty easy to dial in some very lush sounding reverbs with it. I probably wouldn’t have bought it as a standalone, but now that I have it, I like it.
