Very good emulation overall, still keeping my HW but it's close enough, much better to see this than a million new copy of the Prophet :o
I had both and even the REV 4 is duller than the Jupiters.

btw, I’m not knocking this plugin. A superb emulation of my least favorite Jupiter will still be better than most plugins, so I’m looking forward to giving it a try.

*Really* nice job on that, and I started to do some of these for similar reasons

Thank you. Not a bad bit on the MKS-70 yourself.

beely wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 8:34 am I think this is partly a cultural thing though
I'm not sure if I was clear enough in my meaning. I was addressing the idea of a bit more skeuomorphic clues in the design....simply because it can be done in vector.

I'm not a huge fan of some of the emulations that completely veer off of the original UI to favor extra features and a redesign in the name of consolidation/economy. One of the great things about all these older pieces of gear is how they looked and appealed to us at the time they were released.

The only place I don't care what they do is the redesign of the Preset libraries. Modernizing some of those mummies is a must over the obquitous "11-88" nonsense they were saddled with back then. 8)

Yes, I understood that. :tu:

The author chose not to pursue a skeuomorphic design style, but instead used a more stylised UI look, which as I'm saying, appears to be more popular with Japanese developers as I've seen other apps/plugins with a similar look from other Japanese developers.

I get that you would like something different. I don't mind the stylised look when it's done well, but I do also like some kind of realism/authenticity in emulations (though this can skirt trade dress laws so you have to be careful sometimes, Roland have certainly "requested" Arturia make their JP8 less realistic once they had their own JP8 plugin, for example).

So I wasn't discounting your opinion (which I share, generally), just suggesting a reason why this less authentic design may have been chosen in this case.
