What do you think: Which DAW will the safest to resist all of this AI nonsense creeping slowly in?

As the title says...

I am not willing anymore to support any BS developement of any AI generative nonsense creeping into DAWs more and more and am looking for a safe place for a human wanting to create music the "human way"...

I am not talking about here and there perhaps a plugin using any AI features... that would be quite easy to ignore...

But if I look at FL Studio for example now that the newest update being in RC state and showing where the journey goes with "Gopher" getting ready to interfer with your project to automate many processes...
Even more frightens me all those kids crawling out of their corners freaking out that in future they just will have to prompt something to get stuff done and what possibilities this will open...

Studio Pro with their integration of this nonsense and now with their own kind of "Gopher" copy...
At least they didn´t waste any own developing time and do mostly deals with 3rd party companies...

I am not so sure about Ableton with many M4L freaks doing plugins which interact with such stuff...

I don´t have a problem with Cubase´s Omnivocal... as said easy to ignore and so far there is nothing else "AI" on the horizon, isn´t it?

Same for Bitwig... latest official statement was they wouldn´t have any plans for "AI" integration...

What do you think... which DAW will be the least getting dragged into this madness?

Maybe Reaper as could could customize and strip it to any level. But for me it's mostly ignoring any AI-music generation features in LogicProX and Ableton Live, and hopefully with less and less people using those then there's less incentives to extend those features.

That´s probably how it will end up for me too... it´s just hard to keep calm if you´ve got your own wishes for the next update and everything gets delayed further and further because of some AI BS had to be integrated...

It would have to be a closed-source Linux-only DAW that is developed and maintained by only one person who's anti-AI with a passion. Remains the question: how many such DAWs exist?

Just use the daw as it is and ignore the AI options in the DAW.

Option number 2 is to create a separate offline OS partition and install the DAW of choice and the plugins you use and take a system Image backup of that system.

Then you will have a system that is frozen in time that is quick to re-install with everything ready to go within 10 minutes after that partition has been restored

Yes it will if you install a Operating system version from before the online purge happens.
The system that is being offline with no internet connection at all will not get any updates to change that

I have 2 where one is 100% offline and one that is online I also have extra Pc parts so that system will live longer than the time i have left.

Simple enough in the short term. Longer term, it is easy to imagine AI integration being the impetus to fully going subscription.

I would think Reaper, Bitwig and Ableton Live are all safe.

The Live stuff is only there if you install it, but if you don’t install, it’s just Live (and that’s a good thing).

CubeAss I don't know but eventually they will cave if this keeps up.

Abledum I also don't know, but like CubeAss, assume it will creep in eventually if ebberywun else is doing it.

Bitwig I would have said not so likely but after their horrid latest version, I will expect it next week in some form like auto-Grid percosets.

Cakebalk is already such a mess that they might as well add a "Ransomize All" button.

Reason is owned by an AI company, the first update was probably too early to roll in such stupidity but I doubt that they will be able to help themselves. Hopefully, it is something easily bypassed or I'll have to go.

I will assume Reaper will probably be the most likely to ignore - or at least partition - AI toyz from the main workflow.
(I say that as not a Reaper fan as such - too unfriendly to use)

So until the bubble bursts and the clueless work out that all this DIFYness does not work out as expectorated (coz expectorating is all it is) it will seem the easy way to lure the lame.
