Cool thanks, I'm sure more options will pop up but it would be great if NAMU2 allowed one NAM file/channel when running in stereo please. Very useful for 33609N for instance, this thing sounds AMAZING. I'll follow those FB groups, great idea :tu:

Oh great, another NAM A2 player I'll have to try on that 609N :)

Please add "IR 1.wmir" to NAMU2, no harm done, it sounds fantastic for rubadub reggae bass and the more choices the merrier. WMIR a proprietary file format so conversion to WAV/IR is not possible without extended messing around I guess.

I forgot to mention a feature in NAMU2, the cab/IR section has an "Export IR" function for 3D cab mix or user IR blends/mixes. Also has phase delay alignment if needed, but i think by default, the cab section will auto phase align IRs from different creators.

I just got word back from Chris (main sole DSP coder for it) that the “IR1.wmir” will be in there, not sure if by default or will need to be downloaded on the portal as a free IR content pack, but you’ll be able to use it in NAMU2 again.

Awesome thank you, what is it BTW? I'm clueless about IR's as I've always preferred NEBULA for spring reverb for instance, but apparently NAM + IR is the best combo as this IR1 really makes VT737 shine on reggae bass for instance. But for spring reverb NEBULA will always win over NAM+IR I think.

IR's also sound amazing in LUNACY BEAM 2.0, like sonic portals.

That's a lot of teasing my friend, hopefully it'll happen next month please ^^

And please make the dual-mono NAM happen if any possible please, so your software will able to do it all, whatever hard rock guitar, reggae bass or mastering comp(33609N) :phones:

The dual nam loading in NAMU2 likely wont happen anytime soon. He wrote/coded the plugin based around A1 and although we discussed dual nam loading, at that time when he had the core base of the plugin already together, decided it would make the plugin too CPU intensive and not stable. Possibly for NAMUv3 if that ever happens. After NAMU2 is released i think he will go back to some cool paid commercial work ideas that he and the team had planned out prior to working on NAMU2. Expect more cool guitar things from Wavemind in the future

Cool, love it when hardrock guitar players pay so I can get free software to make rubadub reggae

Hope you'll release it next month please, thanks a ton :tu:

Will you update it to A2 soon please?
NAMU2 aka NAM Universal v2…It’s coming very SOON. We here at The Ampsim Universe team in collaboration with Chris from Wavemind plugins are probably on the final beta version before release.

It’s a whole multi panel suite ala the current Wavemind ampsim suite GUI structure. A total update and rewrite. We’ve thought of every quality of life improvement and enhancement. It will be better than anything paid.

-Yes, A2 support

-OVERSAMPLING from 2x to 8x

-Pedal/amp peofile, IR and 3D cab, browser/loader/database that is completely easily searchable and filterable. Once profile folders are imported they stay there unless you want to remove them easily.

-Drag and drop profile folder packs

-Assign an amp/pedal image/photo thumbnail to a folder in tbe database

-Scrolling text for long file names in the main amp GUI

-Full complete built-in midi system implementation for every parameter, including presets making it suitable for live use with any midi controller/foot controller

-Auto input profile calibration/normalization

-Pedal section with algorithmic compressor pedal, pedal profile loader/database, the Instigator module aka the Mesa MKIII eq/boost.

-Amp profile section with all amp controls plus Depth and Presence

-Full user IR and 3D cab loading section, 4 channel IR loader/blender channel strip, with all the tone shaping controls, cabinet/power amp drive saturation, oomph/sparkle, high/low cut, IR tone shift (tilt filter), panning for each IR channel. The IR blender/balance is percentage and will auto balance and normalize IR signals so there is no imbalance when using STEREO mode cab mixing. Comes with one 3D cab (Marshall 1960A with V30 and two mics, SM57/Royer 121), with the option to purchase additional 3D cab packs with more mic options. User IR searchable loader/browser.

-IntelliQ section (from the Wavemind Dave Davidson Tonesuite) for final signal path toneshaping/EQing

-Rack Post FX section with tweakable chorus unit, stereo/pingpong synced delay unit and filtering, and algorithmic reverb unit with the usual controls to do small spaces to big ambient washes.

-On the main controls there are tuner, MONO/STEREO input/output, stereo doubler tracker (haas based), and the one knob multiband compressor knobs TIGHT/SMOOTH for lows (chugs/palm mute) and highs (smoothing or de-essing ice picky highs/treble), and a global ROOM reverb knob.

-User savable Preset banks/list that can be assigned/recalled by midi for live tone preset switching

-GUI/graphics are all updated to expect and reflect Wavemind’s current amp sims. Yes tgis thing will look photorealistic sharp and sexy. Resizable interface by corner pull.

-A1 backwards compatible, but obviously the A2 models will run more efficiently with less CPU, even with 4x-8x oversampling enabled…yes, no more audible high frequency aliasing on leads and single notes etc…every note is crystal clear like a real amp. You wont want to play nam profiles without our oversampling that was implemented from now on out. I have an 11 year old stock Dell desktop that can run an A2 models with Cab IRs, with 4x-8x oversampling at 64 samples latency with no glitches/dropouts/sputters or problems at all.

And one hidden graphical/GUi mod easter egg

And the price…? Still for the low low price of completely FREE

Tyler will be doing some teasers/play throughs of it on the Ampsim Universe YouTube channel in the coming week.

We will let the KVR and Neural Amp Modeler Facebook group know as soon as it’s available for download. We are almost there.
