I may be talking rot but... under the impression Mulab doesn't rely on things like Juce but uses custom coded gfx, windowing routines etc. So, guessing (emphasis on guessing), it's not a case of simply recompiling for Linux as a lot of the current wave of plugs have been but a fair bit of actual rewriting...?

Definitely not just a simple port. On the other hand, just imagining how easy it would be routing audio in a hybrid setup using MUX/MuLab plugin is certainly more than exciting!

Well, I am pretty sure, highly confident, that if he gets serious about NATIVE Linux MuLab, he will do it right!!!
Quality!
And that will take some extra work, for sure! Maybe ask u-he for some friendly advice??
The future could be so brite, we may have to wear shades!!!

Are you just wishing this into existence or has this actually been mentioned as a possibility?Grizzellda wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 2:53 am Well, I am pretty sure that if he gets serious about NATIVE Linux MuLab, he will do it right!!!![]()

Well, we will have to consult the developer!!
I think Linux is rising in popularity, and sure... it is for geeks, but it is becoming more mainstream.
I would luv luv luv MuLab to be native on Linux!

I have, and he’s got other priorities at the moment. He’d like to at some point, but don’t expect anything soon.

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

I have talked about it on the MuTools forum, as have others. It is up to him. I am not gonna bother him about it.
It will take some effort to get it right, and he is all about quality. So will the extra work be worth it??? I say, yes!

Well, to be fair I have found no recent Linux discussion at least not in the MuTools forum on here. So not too sure, what this emoji parade might be about.
My own very short and quite some time ago convo with Jo about it, would just lead to similar conclusion like this.

I think we are quite "on topic" here. MuLab is supporting CLAP, which is awesome...a new modern standard.
