Maybe a guitar or a drum set?

As long as they do not remove any core functionality I do not see it as a huge problem and just ignore that it is there, except getting frustrated that the development is spent on AI instead of improving the core app. Like Logic Pro for the past few years 😠

Great option or 2 Grooveboxes or a Workstation Keyboard + a few synths to fill up the 16 Tracks and a simple open source wave editor to record it into :)

But for me it's mostly ignoring any AI-music generation features in LogicProX and Ableton Live, and hopefully with less and less people using those then there's less incentives to extend those features.
What are the AI music generation features in Live? :o
Soft Knees - Live 12, Diva, Omnisphere, Slate Digital VSX, TDR, Kush Audio, U-He, PA, Valhalla, Fuse, Pulsar AUDIO, NI, OekSound etc. on Win11Pro R7950X & RME AiO Pro

There arent any. Ironically, he may have hallucinated them.

Live, not yet, but with the extension in forthcoming version, expect a plethora of LLM/Claude/ChatGPT extensions from developers, ack. At least you don't need to install them.

Post

BTW there's already a MaxForLive Claude extension, ack. Fortunately it's slow and clumsy....

I think they’ll all fall for it eventually. I’m not really bothered, as long as we still get the choice not to use those features.

Yeah, Im expecting that. Same as there are already M4L Devices, and native plugins. Not quite the same thing, tho.

Ardour is probably as safe as it gets.

Unfortunately I didn't buy lots of hardware to be used with older operating systems and drivers so this is not an option for me. And used hardware is not an option either. This once killed years of my work, thanks to a mainboard that came infected with malware. At some point I will simply have to stop making music.

In that case, then Linux is your best bet as far as the OSes go.

Yeah, I'd say Reaper or Ardour are your best bets for now. The developer of Ardour has already stated that they have no intention of putting anything AI into their system.
