I see there is an upgrade for older version users, do you know how much it is

I think it's either $10 or $20. Yeah, it's not a fortune, but to have to pay just because they updated the file format they're now using, and they apparently sorted some of the WILD volume fluctuations between presets in V1, we now have to pay a second time for what's essentially the same product.

FWIW, I've had a ton of issues with soundpaint in my projects, mostly centring around preset settings not recalling properly when re-opening a project. I've been a user since V1s launch so I expected some issues early on, but my god, there are still things that havent been touched after all these years. Maybe it's a logic thing, but either way, having a lot of issues and then being hit with charges for updates.....soundpaint can do one as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers - seems the ‘new’ format has the analogue modelled filters and load 4x faster…but it’s getting confusing with so many different formats - SDS, UDS, PCM (or whatever they are called) hopefully they will consolidate to one universal format at some point…I guess they can argue you don’t need to update (I didn’t even know it was an update!) but you can pay for the modelled filters etc if you want to?

I have also been with it since V1 and haven’t had too many issues (windows) other then occasionally very slow loading (making you think it’s frozen as no loading indicator) but overall I am very happy with it and thing the fx are exceptional, especially as its a free. Personally looking forward to V5
