thanks a lot, good to know, I still remember the bad Largo update, let's seeIvyBirds wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 2:13 pmWaldorf over the past few years seems to have really turned the corner regarding supporting software. Especially with the Blofeld and the Microwave both of which sound fantastic and have received many updates and bug fixesCaine123 wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 9:33 am quite interested in this plugin but the BAD reputation for Waldorf's update history (Largo`anyone?) makes me think twice.... of course this wont be commented here I guess.
They used to have a clear Hardware Bias where software felt like it was always not the priority compared with hardware, but that doesn't seem. To be the case now

Hi,
here is release candidate 1 of version 2.0.1 which among other stuff has an improved performance. Please give it a spin.
https://downloads.waldorfmusic.com/clou ... tdXfiqsrT8
Performance was improved by removing unnecessary calculations. In addition, delay & diffusor now have an on/off switch.
Also load/save of effect params were fixed.
There is a change log in the download directory.
Best
Rolf

Thank you for the update. I just tried it and it seems that trigger modes are still not working as expected.
To replicate:
- Init patch (Multi).
- Click settings.
- Click the Voices button and choose any (re)trigger mode.
- Play a chord.
Cheers.

@temporubato thank you bro for update.
Yes seems now much better, particularly in idle state shows almost zero (2%)
"Touch of string" preset 7% in idle for now (and 10% with mouse rolling, wot wot)
Ok, then stress test setup: Global\Voice cards to max 8, and Multi\all 8 parts enable, and VolEnv\Release to max for each of 8 parts. Result: idle 12%, mouse rolling - about 62% (that pretty not a bad. Can say normal for max setting. Instead cpu clipping right).
But, i think I've caught one time an increased eating on medium settings, and I didn't understand what it was (I couldn't replicate it). Some random leaks are possible idk. Or it was my wrong hands.
Ok will say if will able to catch.
But overall, if everything turns out as it did in main repeatable test with eating, that's really great. Seems can grab lol.

CPU briefly spikes to 100% with every preset change with version 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 using Logic Pro whereas all versions up to and including 1.30 were fine.temporubato wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 6:28 amThere will be an update on Monday when I am back in office.Flogs wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 11:59 pm Same high CPU usage with version 2. Uninstalled the v2 demo within 30 minutes and went back to v1, v1 uses next to no CPU. I hope the issues are ironed out in v2 as I would like to upgrade to it but not at the cost of extra CPU with identical patches.
I also have quite high CPU cost with Attack 3 as well which surprised me as Largo 2 and Blofeld (and original Microwave v1) are very CPU friendly.
Is this already known or shall I raise a ticket with more specifics?

BTW, pay attention please - with max release value, but when the signal goes into silence (drop beyond the measurement limits) after long time, the calculation still works. Ie cpu meter still shows the same as at start but with no sound.
Would be good to improve too.
(Btw sad a bit, thought that here constant \ infinity max release lol (rare thing actually) but nope. Ok not critical. )

Not seeing any big CPU spikes on Windows 11, version 25H2 at all, (public stable release)
And on my experimental machine running Windows 11, Build 29617.1000 (Version 26H2, insider preview experimental)
Both hosted in Gig Performer where Microwave is the only plugin running on a dedicated core

+1 to this. This would hopefully allow microtonal scales via microtonal plugins (such as MTS-ESP Midi Client). Although Microwave has the tuning tables, it appears to be not practical to setup for typical microtonal scale use (because would manually in the GUI have to define the tuning for every note of every desired octave). I hoped there could at least be a text format export and import of tuning tables, with which I could process the text externally to create scales, but I didn't find such.
Additionally or alternatively, perhaps it could be possible to have direct implementation of MTS-ESP or ability to load Scala or .tun format.

Ok, thanks for feedback! We now declared the 2.0.1 RC1 as official.
I believe we can now sail along a bit with this version until we do the next
