The important question is, what is "electro" for you? I ask that, because you wrote "electro / dance" and that are really very different genres! But these days younger people often summarize genres ... :D

So if you mean "current electro" and dance stuff, the best recommendation yet in this thread is "Dune 3" because it sounds great and can do everything and has two arps, too. But it's not an "easy" synth for sounds programming!

If you are a beginner, I would suggest "Sylenth" because it can do very much, sounds still great and is easy for learning and there are many soundbanks available for every genre. And it's very good for bass sounds for "current and real electro"! :wink:

For "real electro" I often use Serum, too ...
