Made a 100% free sample sequencer thing called Instant. Single-track percussion plugin, opens with a pattern already running so you're not rebuilding the same clap/snare/hihat pattern for the 100th time. Pick a sound, you're in. Easy to use your own samples instead of my factory ones.

Goes deeper if you want it with variable step count, parameter locks, micro-timing, drag audio loop straight to your DAW/a clip. Real-time parameter recording is also possible.

No kick included on purpose, there's better dedicated vsts for that already.
Free, no activation etc needed: terminalvst.com/free

Perhaps it can be useful to someone!

Hi, this plugin is built with JUCE. To clarify on the email - it's only used to send you the download link, nothing else. I develop other software too and wanted to offer this idea free.

.....but you didn't answer the question. AI programs are built with JUCE sometimes too. Is this AI generated? :)

Thats because im not sure what AI generated would even mean here :) There's no tool that generates and builds a working VST3 plugin from a prompt. I planned/designed and built this myself, iterating on features using normal dev tools in vscode including AI-assisted coding. It's been great because while most of my professional experience is in audio engineering and music production for the last 30 years I've also made websites since the 90s. So thanks to making the c++ implementation easier by integrating claude code in vscode, both my life interests finally intertwine in a productive way. Hope this answers your question :)

Yes, this answers the question in a better way than you probably think. :)

I'm sure you know this already, but for those who don't:

Vibe Coding = Using AI to write code for you without knowing or understanding the code. This generally results in slop.

AI assisted coding = Essentially the same thing with a difference: Using AI to write code for you, and using professional coding experience to check and make sure the code is doing what you want it to do. This results in faster code development, but because it is being monitored and watched by someone who knows code, the quality can be managed.
------------

So, in your case, because of your professional experience, you are basically using AI to assist with coding, but you are not "vibe coding". This means your product is more likely to be of high quality and not slop. :)

Many of us don't want to waste time on slop. :)
