I'm considering upgrading from Omnisphere 2 to Omnisphere 3 for use with a ROLI Seaboard and have one technical question about MPE modulation.
Is there any way to compress, offset, or remap the incoming MPE Y values to compensate for the Seaboard's continuous playing surface?
My goal is to adjust the response of the incoming MPE data itself rather than simply changing the modulation amount. For the purpose of keeping Y (vertical slide) control even between white and black keys (ie: so the base of the white key is similar mod amount as the base of the black key). So basically, how Serum 2 has AUX source in the matrix which can compress the modulation range.
Could you let me know whether Omnisphere 3 provides this capability, or whether MPE sources are always routed directly to the destination with only a modulation amount control?

Hello, if you want to upgrade to Omnisphere 3, I can sell it to you for $200 USD. PM me if you're interested.

Omnisphere does not have expression curves or transformers like some mod matrices have so no I'm not aware of a way to do anything beyond basic mod amounts in Omnisphere. Be aware that they only tested with an Osmose, so it doesn't work as well with a seaboard or linnsturment for example. Their support says they are planning on improving it though.Loco666 wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2026 1:58 pm I'm considering upgrading from Omnisphere 2 to Omnisphere 3 for use with a ROLI Seaboard and have one technical question about MPE modulation.

If you are looking to tweak the expression ranges for the entire expression, not per modulation, then you can usually do that either with the devices own settings (like the roli dashboard) or with devices like the ableton expression device or bitwig transformers.

This is the setup window for ROLI Blocks M. I believe it should be quite similar for ROLI Seaboard.
