Any news, progress, updates soon?

I think I almost have a version 1.1.0 ready that I'm happy with. There are a couple of things that could still be improved in the card editor, but for a first version I think this could do. Creating cards from .sf2 existing files surely works well enough. It just needs better tools for when you want to build multi sampled instruments from scratch using wavs, like setting loop points with a nice GUI, resampling to a target rate that makes the loop size a perfect integer for the wavelength of your fundamental frequency, that sort of stuff. But I can work on that with 1.1.0 already out.

I'm currently testing it in several DAWs to see if it works everywhere. But I might have to ask some others to test it too before release.

If you need a Logic Pro user to test - I’m available. This thing is a dream come true!

Still noticing some commercial banks don’t load—most do, but a few of the Greytsounds SY77 banks don’t.

Just bought this and wanted to say this is an incredible work of art, much thanks to sheaf for the attention to the details. As a huge Yamaha 80s synth fan I'm really excited to be apart of this Stryde Audio Swayed community now. Also I'm available for any testing duties. ;) cheers!

I am trying to connect my midi keyboard to the VST in FL Studio. I can't seem to correctly get MIDI CC #13 to work. On some VSTs I can right click and link the controller I want. Suggestions? I want my external midi keyboard to be like the mod wheel #2 on the original SY77 hardware.

Is there any chance of a native Linux version now that you've had time to polish Swayed up?

I just tried it with FL Studio and it seems to work for me. I selected Browse parameters -> then right click on MIDI CC #13 -> Edit events in piano roll. Then I drew some automation for a patch with CC #13 assigned to Filter Control, just like in your example, and it just seemed to work. I'm not really an FL Studio user though, so can you give me a bit more information, like what patch you used and what steps you did?

Something to keep in mind: with Filter Control the automation is only picked up at note onset, unless the filter type is set to LFO. If you're not aware of this and expect to modulate the filter cutoff in real-time, it might seem like it's not working.

Not really. The plugin framework I use doesn't support Linux, and I don't have the time or expertise to add a Linux build target to the framework myself.

i learned middle C as C5. But that was probably due to FL?

but i guess in a DAW one could always slam a pitch device before the plugin to change it.
I thought middle C was C4 because A4 (440 Hz tuning), and C4 sits between A3 and A4.
I don't know why, though.

There are eight C's on an 88 key keyboard. The fourth being middle C above the A 440 and sits between A4 and A5. (There are also eight A's). On Real pianos it always was under the brand name.
These days, it's always by its tuning and That C can be programmed anywhere on the keybed.

Thank you for the reply. I am trying to attach a sysex file but it won't let me. The note onset info is helpful. I am able to assign a controller on the keyboard and change the filter per note onset. What is interesting is that I can play a note with the filter open and in real time partially close it. If I note onset with the filter closed, it will not real time open. I just sold my real SY77 so I can't see what the real synth does. Ugh! I am trying to control real time MW2.

I understand. Thank you for your honesty and for being upfront about your decision. :)
