I created an Ableton Remote Script that adds clip launcher and mixer functionality to your LinnStrument while using it in Ableton Live (works with both versions of LinnStrument). It's a custom remote script focused on live looping in session view. Enjoy your LinnStrument with a lot of APC 40 mk2 & Push functionality!

Marvelous. Can note mode be in layouts other than 4ths, IE use whatever layout we would otherwise use if not using the remote script? Tritones is the only layout I've been using for the last couple of years and I advocate for why its a better choice than other layouts

In “Note Mode,” the LinnStrument operates in its normal mode, and you can use any layout you like. However, the left split is used by the Remote Script and must be configured as a 1-column CC fader (see the documentation on GitHub). In addition to switching back to “Session Mode,” this first column also includes important functions such as Stop Clip, Metronome, Fire Record Clip, Undo, etc.
You also have the option to disable the script (in Ableton’s settings) if you don’t need these features. Or you can simply disable the left split.
If you need to use both splits simultaneously for playing, the script isn’t ideal. For such applications, it would need to be adapted so that switching between “Note Mode” and “Session Mode” could be done via a footswitch, for example.
