I have no idea what you just said. I look forward to hear the results when it's ready.

Sir, you're enthusiasm for your project is commendable. I have _some_ idea of the challenge you've given yourself but it's a shame your attitude is so distasteful.Architeuthis wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2026 4:18 amhow about this feature:DrGonzo wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2026 4:12 amLooking forward to hear the results.Architeuthis wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2026 4:06 am there's no this OR that, it's always: both and all. im doing best of all words software. there's no limits and no compromises.
"hey ai i need a drum module with this or that feature"
"sure, let me add one to the environment for you" boom. it's done. using all of my beautiful analog emulation math. ai agent only pulls from my road-tested algorithms. You can make f**king anything you want. and eventually ill have audio plugin export.
yes you can design your own interface
yes you can ask ai to make the interface
yes it will have good reverb
yes it will have all the fx you want, phasor, flanger, all analog modeled, all very fast and efficient.
yes my analog filters beats everything currently available
yes you can ask for custom analog filters
yes it will be free (mostly... for now)
yes it will feature LITERAL CODE MODULES!!! fast angelscript JUST-IN-TIME (jit) compiling
yes the codebase will be SIMD underneath (4x or 8x calculations for 1 cpu cycle)
yes im working on realtime fast additive synthesis that also beats everything available.
You think you can build a replacement for a probably around 20+ year old plug-in which thousands of folks have become very familiar with, almost like a pet, and depended on over that time? I've played with a LOT of drum synthesisers over the years, and built my own, and one thing I learned to appreciate was the somehow nearly perfect range scaling of the knobs in microtonic. And the envelope curves. And the oscillator shape choices. It's a near-perfect drum synth.
I'm not sure if you're mocking this community by saying you can built something which will make max/msp look like shit and entirely replace puredata? I'm sorry, that seems fanciful, unless you're some kind of savant at computer programming. But you're here, talking like that, so I suspect you're not. Your filters beat all filters everywhere?
The belittling energy you give doesn't make me want to explore whatever you've built unfortunately. I had a quick look and it's browser based? Is that the future? I like to load things in my DAW and I can't load a webpage. And besides, I can't imagine any web-based languages are going to be particularly efficient. Multiple layers of abstraction and language conversions..
Why would I want to interact with someone who speaks like this? You have BONES like energy and it's quite distasteful to those of us who prefer gentle respectful interactions with our fellow man.Architeuthis wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2026 4:06 am this is what you get when you master digital signals. im dumbfounded why this wasn't made yet. it's so f**king obvious that someone needs to make this... well im making it and it's almost ready for real world use.
yes it works realtime multiplatform i dont know what else the f**k you guys want. you can have everything you want. literally.
Good luck with your thingy. I'm usually straight on any kind of modular stuff, as I love to look at how different devs convert the core audio object and sound design principles into their own frameworks and design choices. I would usually try to wedge myself on the beta team.
But you've put me right off.

This might be a Legacy thing, since I've had FL since version 9, so I don't even know if they are still there, but FL had a quite synthetic drumkit at one point. I don't remember what instrument for.

I guess that`s how the beat on "Warm Letherette" was made, right? But I did not know bands like Human League did the same thing. Interesting.Benedict wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2026 10:43 pm Early Kraftwerk, Human League etc commonly used one synth for a whole kit. It is a balancing act but you get some really lovely results. Grab a synth like Synth1 (or anything really - but two OSC or Osc + Noise helps) and make Env really short then go from there. I still use this technique today.
I also use samplers like NN-XT (or Shortcircuit will do if it stopped crashing) for their key mapping. Like the typical Sine drop approach, use the Filter Reso + Env to create the tone movement. I just made a whole kit with nothing but a noise sample and filters. No one else has that exact kit.

I like to experiment, and I might try that as well one day. Thanks for the tech tip.

That's the most crap drumsynth ever created. With the separate left-right drumhits and cumbersome everything... hated it when I was using FL and still do. I don't believe anyone has ever used it to produce any song ever with it since its first appearanceShabdahbriah wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2026 10:26 pmThat would be Drumaxx ... it is wonderful.
