Who can attend the NAMM shows?

From the FAQ on the NAMM site:

"Q: How do I attend NAMM’s trade shows?
A: Attendance at NAMM trade shows is restricted to companies who make, buy, and/or sell musical instruments and products. If your company meets this requirement..."

Living near Indianapolis, it would be cool to attend the NAMM show this summer. However, as an amateur music-maker, I'm not allowed in.

Am I reading this right?

I'm not sure, but with me living in Nashville, I'm bitter about the Indianopolis NAMM thing. You stole it from us!(fair and square though) Really, I don't know, and if you get to go, please make sure to let all know what you see(although it is a ways away anyway!).

Well if you're knowledgeable, a clear speaker, and a fairly decent player then maybe you could try to find a job demoing a synth or music product from one of the devs here? sometimes they ask for help...
