Korneff have released their take on the venerable 1176 or more accurately two 1176s.
This is an over juiced variety based on Dan' Korneff's own unit that allows you to use the two limiters in stereo, M/S or in series.
It has a separate utility mode with a more modern meter read out and the ability to unlink the sidechain in stereo mode. There low pass and high pass input filters that sit before the sidechain and the same filters on the output to catch unruly high and low end. There is also a separate control to dial in the amount of FET saturation.
A neat feature is that you can have both an external and internal sidechain at the same time with a blend control.
You can have up to 16X oversampling.
You can defeat the compressor by turning the attack to zero and use it as an FET saturator and run in series can give you the kind of effect use for the guitar sound in Black Dog by Led Zeppelin.
I have about 973,888,000 1176 clones but this is probably the gnarliest and Korneff are one of the best in the business when it comes to capturing the character of analogue devices.
It's also only 17.76 for the day that is in it.

Nice, I have zero 1176 clones and the one I want is $60+, so this is a no-brainer for me. I'm in.
