Hi everyone,
Since we've received several questions about what has changed compared to Satson, we thought it would be helpful to summarize the main new features and improvements introduced in S-Console.
S-Console was developed from scratch on a completely new framework. Our goal wasn't to reinvent Satson, but to preserve its philosophy while taking it much further in terms of sound, workflow, compatibility, and long-term maintainability.
Some of the main differences are:
1. Two oversampling modes, with up to 16x oversampling.
2. Improved crosstalk.
3. A new Push mode with two selectable headroom levels.
4. Dry/Wet control.
5. Output control.
6. Low-cut and High-cut filters can now be placed either before the preamp or after the saturation stage.
7. Improved VU metering, with calibration options at -14, -16, -18, -20, -22, -24 and -26 dBFS (Satson offered only -14, -18 and -20 dBFS).
8. Bug fixes and more consistent behavior across different sample rates.
9. Native Apple Silicon (ARM) support.
10. Grouping, improving workflow while also enhancing stability and performance.
11. A completely redesigned, resizable GUI.
Beyond the visible features, a considerable amount of work also went into the new architecture, ensuring S-Console has a solid foundation for future development while preserving the sound and workflow that made Satson a favorite for so many users.

Dear Friends at KVR Audio,
We’re excited to share a new release that has been a long time in the making.
After months of development, refinement, and countless listening sessions, we're proud to introduce S-Console, the next-generation evolution of our iconic Satson console emulation plugin.

Since its original release, Satson helped many engineers and producers embrace a more console-inspired approach to mixing in the box. With S-Console, we've taken that philosophy much further while preserving the simplicity, musicality, and workflow that made Satson a favorite for so many users.
S-Console was designed to bring the depth, punch, and cohesion of large-format analogue consoles into modern DAWs. Rather than focusing solely on saturation, it recreates the subtle interactions that make analogue desks feel alive, channel variations, crosstalk, harmonic coloration, and buss interaction, all contributing to a more natural, three-dimensional mix.

Some highlights include:
• New S-Console engine based on the evolution of Satson
• Three Crosstalk Modes (Vintage, Modern, and Off)
• Push control for saturation, soft clipping, and dynamic shaping
• Fat Mode for enhanced low-end harmonics and punch
• Analogue-style High-Pass and Low-Pass Filters
• Trim-as-Drive workflow for intuitive gain staging and saturation
• Mix control for parallel processing
• Linear Phase Oversampling Mode for maximum fidelity
• Minimum Phase Mode for low-latency applications
• Integrated Channel and Buss operation within the same plugin
• Global Grouping System for controlling multiple instances simultaneously
• Full compatibility with modern Windows and macOS systems
One of the biggest goals behind S-Console was to recreate not only the sound, but also the feeling of working through a large analogue console. The subtle non-linear interactions between channels and busses help create mixes that feel more glued together, wider, and more musical without requiring complicated workflows.
