hey all,
I stumbled upon this (yeah youtubers/musicians? are now plugin devs all of a sudden it seems more and more?) arpeggiator and this looks really well?
did anyone got this yet?

looks great - the only caveat would be that the different sequences for pitch , velocity etc all have the same step length (as far as I can tell at the moment). I will ask if they can change that

I don't need another sequencer but the step divider should at least be able to divide the step into fourths imo.

This looks great and I’m going to check it out for sure this weekend. Looks like it’s up to v1.3 now with some pretty substantial updates with each point version.
Only $19 makes it a no-brainer for me.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but the dropdown for the divider shows 2, 3, and 4 divisions.Cuauhtli wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2026 7:46 pm I don't need another sequencer but the step divider should at least be able to divide the step into fourths imo.

After just a short play with this in Logic, I'm already going to call it my favorite arp plugin ever. My only wish for it right now is that I'd love to see more patterns beyond the typical up, down, u/d, d/u, random, and as played. It does have nice converge and diverge patterns, but I'd love to see some more non-standard patterns, like leapfrog, pedaled root (up and down), etc. Feature request time...
Looks like this is still the case in v1.3, although v1.2 did add three assignable mod slots that can each be assigned to any MIDI CC and they can have their own sequence lengths (see 7:30 in video below), so the groundwork and UI space is already there and hopefully will be added for pitch, velocity, chance, and lengthin a future version. That would be a nice addition.sandandpaint wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:09 pm looks great - the only caveat would be that the different sequences for pitch , velocity etc all have the same step length (as far as I can tell at the moment). 18 reviews, a full 5-star rating in average. Obviously fake, or at least everything else than 5 stars have been removed.

I believe $19 is a fair price for a vibe coded plugin, though it's sad to see that most "developers" who vibe codes don't care much for the GUI. Most of them look them same, more or less.Caine123 wrote: Sat Jul 04, 2026 7:10 pm well i guess this is another vibe coded stuff, now youtubers release plugins en masse.... and yes i dont trsut these reviews too so i trust you guys here more, even if vibe coded, seems a nice plugin. im still waiting if i will buy it or not.

I personally don't care if this was vibe-coded or coded someone with a PhD in computer sciences - it's exactly what I've always wanted in an arpeggiator plugin, it works perfectly and very intuitively, looks great even scaled to 200%, and it's dirt cheap. Not only that, the developer is engaged with its users (he's already responded to my FR). As for its appearance, it looks great to me, but I don't buy plugins to admire their appearance - I'm a musician and I buy my tools to make music. So, I have no doubt those 5-star ratings are all real, since I'm pretty sure he has a pretty small niche market of people who want exactly what Morningdew has to offer, and it's about to get 5 stars from me, too.
I spent the morning putting it through the paces arpeggiating several of my analog hardware synths from within Logic and did not experience a single hiccup and didn't have to crack open the manual once, although I did watch the v1 and v2 videos yesterday, which explained everything very clearly.

Ah, cool. I was going by what the guy in the video said. Iirc he only mentioned dividing a step by 2.cryophonik wrote: Sat Jul 04, 2026 4:00 pm This looks great and I’m going to check it out for sure this weekend. What does it do that you couldn't get from other arpeggiators? Have you tried Animation Station?cryophonik wrote: Sun Jul 05, 2026 5:10 pm it's exactly what I've always wanted in an arpeggiator plugin

I dont really like the interface and workflow for animation station as much tho it does have independent step lengths. Other than that Morningdew is more powerful as far as I can tell so far and easier to use. Given the choice I would get Morningdew over Animation Station. It has CC modulation for example which Animation Station lacksUncle E wrote: Sun Jul 05, 2026 8:04 pmWhat does it do that you couldn't get from other arpeggiators? At the moment it is click and drag altho mousewheel works on some things so I think you could ask the dev to extend mousewheel to sliders.Caine123 wrote: Sun Jul 05, 2026 9:34 pm did anyone test if you can use a mousewheel and change semitones of each step? i hate to click 2-3 times in some vsts to change the semitones....
