maniFold Omega v1.2 is out.
The plugin is now tempo-aware. Recording buffer length locks to 1–8 bars, base delay time sets in note subdivisions, and playback syncs to the DAW transport — hit play and everything moves with your session.
Two new sound design controls:
Tone Shape gives you five filter modes in one knob — DJ 12 dB, Tilt EQ, BPF, Notch, and DJ Ladder 24 dB — with the filter curve drawn live.
Character morphs continuously between chorus and flanger coloration, with a pre/post switch to place it before or after the micro-loop engine. Pre shapes the source going into the buffer; post processes the loop on the way out — very different results.
The micro-loop engine also gets a new trapezoid window shape with a live envelope visualizer, so you can see the shape you're working with.

maniFold Omega 1.3 — Gate Rec
New in 1.3: threshold-triggered buffer recording.
New features
- Gate Rec — arms threshold-based recording. Buffer auto-locks below the set level, opens above it.
- Threshold control — drag the detector meter to set the engage level directly.
- Three recording trigger modes:
- Continuous — records from the current write head position. Gate opens, capture picks up mid-stream.
- One-Shot — first rising edge repositions to buffer start and records through; subsequent opens continue from current position.
- Retrigger — every rising edge snaps back to buffer start. Each trigger rewrites from zero.
- Rec Buffer Feedback promoted to main UI — `RecBufferFdbck` out of Settings and onto the main panel, with live monitoring on the input detector meter.
Tips
- Route `RecBufferFdbck` back into the detector and watch it decay on the input meter — as feedback drops past the gate threshold, recording re-arms on its own. Dial `Rec Overdub` to control how much each new pass blends in versus overwrites.
- Set the threshold above your signal floor and the buffer auto-locks after the transient, looping indefinitely — easy infinite sustain. `Rec Overdub` takes it from frozen moment to slowly mutating loop.

- Fixed crackles and noise in FL Studio.
- Fixed buffer playback scan modes.
