XMLimiter 2 - Most Transparent Mastering Peak/Brickwall Limiter - Coming Soon

Hey everyone,
If you remember, we previously mentioned that some of the XM plugins would be transitioning into "Pro" versions.
That time has now arrived!
We want to present these updates in the best possible way, and for that reason, we are also looking for volunteer beta testers.
XMLimiter Pro will come with a much more sophisticated toolset, offering many more options and deeper control.
The good news: the current version of XMLimiter, which is included in the XM Series Mastering Bundle and the existing package, will still remain available for download.
You will be experiencing two different plugin architectures, and which one you choose to use will be entirely up to you.
Let's talk about some of the upcoming changes... (Please note that these may change during development.)
Our oversampling algorithm has been significantly improved and will now become selectable. We are planning to offer the ability to switch between several different modes. If this results in excessive CPU usage, we may choose an alternative approach or decide not to include it.
We have completely rewritten and rebuilt our limiter algorithm from the ground up with a new architecture.
We closely follow all innovations in the industry, and so far, we have not discovered another limiter plugin using the same algorithmic approach as XMLimiter Pro.
The reason is that we have observed that most limiter plugins on the market rely on selecting between several predefined time-constant parameters.
XMLimiter Pro does not use traditional time-constant parameters. Its approach is fundamentally different and unique.
We believe this will be a revolutionary step!
See you soon!

Hey @hightyde,hightyde wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 9:50 am Is there a website for your plugins? I can’t find anything on a google search
We don’t have an official website yet. This is basically our first real commercial step. Until now, Xilentch has been sharing plugins made for personal use with the community for free, supported through Patreon donations.
You can still find us on Patreon. Just search “Xilentch” on Google, or use this link: https://www.patreon.com/cw/Xilentch
XMLimiter 2 will be our first official commercial release. Based on our current calculations, the price will likely be around $299, although this may still change.
Of course, there will be a demo version as well.
That said, this forum is our first point of contact with many of you. (Excluding Gearspace) So if you’d like a license, simply email Xilentch and mention that you came from the KVR Audio forum, along with your username:
xilentchmecan@hotmail.com
Xilentch is very modest about this and will be happy to give you a free lifetime license.
You can request early access right now.
Best regards

Hey Kai Enaki,Kai Enaki wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 11:16 am $299? That's $100 more than Tone Projects Uni-L. I hope XMLimiter 2 produces gold bars while not in use.![]()
We know it is not cheap. That said, we are not trying to compare XMLimiter 2 directly with another plugin here.
Once you try it, we believe you will better understand why it is priced this way. Also, the free versions are always available on Patreon.
If you would like, send us an email at xilentchmecan@hotmail.com with your operating system, and we can let you try the early access version. After that, we would genuinely like to see your thoughts here again.
Of course, that does not mean you will necessarily like it. It may not be for you, or you may still find it too expensive after trying it. We fully respect that.
As mentioned above, Xilentch keeps things modest. We can send you a demo, and if you like it, we can also provide a license. Totally up to you.
Best regards,
