I've requested it as well via PM to otristan.chagzuki wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 2:30 pmYes, if I can't find such a rudimentary feature I assume I'm missing the method to access it, but otristan confirmed in the thread that it's not there (actually I'm doubting myself again, perhaps I'm insane). BONES thinks this is inconsequential; I'm pleased that you've highlighted it as I really hope an update adds the conventional LFO features sometime soon.metaside wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 1:30 pm Also, I haven't found a way to switch LFOs to being free-running, but I guess it's there somewhere? Please let me know where to find this or other stuff I mentioned, I again might have overlooked something, partly because my music time is very limited atm.

To say, "Here's a dozen sound effects for you to use, but you can use only just one at a time" is just stupid. I want to use a synth's internal sound effects as much as possible to create a reusable preset. Sound effects in a daw don't do that.BONES wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 12:20 am Why do you need more effects? You use it in a DAW, you can stack as many effects on it as you like. Your problem is you watch too many YouTube videos made by clueless idiots. Seriously, I've watched so many YouTube tutorials on how to make Reese basses or Neurobass patches and they are, without exception, the dumbest f**king things you're ever likely to see. They keep adding layer after layer of the same effects when all they really need to do is go back and play with the settings on the first one they applied. If you can't make the sound you need with the tools available in Rumble, I think that's down to your skill level. Trust me, stacking more and more effects, one on top of another, isn't the way to do this stuff. Going through the factory patches should tell you that.
"Attaching"? Do you mean "assigning modulation"? I don't really see how it could be any easier. OK, removing modulation may not seem obvious but once you know how it's done, it's actually really clever - just set the value to zero and it's gone.
Why do you need the mod matrix at all? I opened it once to see what it looked like and haven't gone near it since. If I need to add or adjust modulation, I do it from the main GUI. Looking at it again now, though, I think the way they've done it is actually pretty cool. It is a proper Matrix, not just a random, disordered list. I wish more MMs were like this. It might be slightly more useful if it opened in its own window, maybe like the patch browser, but that's about the only improvement I can see that it might need.
If you don't even use the mod matrix, why do you have anything to say about it? I like handiness of using mod matrixes as they are usually designed, and this one doesn't cut it.
Synths like Phase Plant, Massive X, and Zebra 3 do a much better job of clarifying which modulator is attached to what's being modulated.
I don't watch videos made by idiots. Sorry if you have.

Yeah..but then you go against the 3 osc per band + fx per band-principle. Wouldn't you? A solution is to split the bands in the host ... But then...hahaha, well, yeah, no..BONES wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 12:20 am Why do you need more effects? You use it in a DAW, you can stack as many effects on it as you like.
Outputs per band would be nice. Then your idea would work

I dunno, have you tried? In a patch, the Character band is doing most of the heavy lifting, it hardly seems worth the time and effort investing too much into the upper and lower bands.
Perhaps it seems stupid to you but it works fine for me - make a decision and move on. Again, I'd point you to the factory presets to show that it can work brilliantly.buffalo roam wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 7:06 pmTo say, "Here's a dozen sound effects for you to use, but you can use only just one at a time" is just stupid.
Why, when you can make them easily as is? Have you even tried?I want to use a synth's internal sound effects as much as possible to create a reusable preset.
"Sound effects" are things you get in sample packs. But if you'd bother to read the manual, you'd see that several of the effects are actually combinations of effects. e.g. "Neuro" is a combination of phaser, chorus and drive and "Trasher" is a distortion chain of fuzz->waveshaping->spectral shifting->dynamic compression->convolution. They are clearly designed to allow you to do complex things simply which, for my money is a great approach. If you want something more complex, use Phaseplant. For me the whole attraction of Rumble is it's simplicity and ease of use.Sound effects in a daw don't do that.
You brought it up, I was simply pointing out that it doesn't actually do anything that can't be done more elegantly in other ways and, for that reason, would be a waste of time putting any extra dev effort into.If you don't even use the mod matrix, why do you have anything to say about it?
It may not be what you are used to but that doesn't mean it needs to be changed. Most of them are an unnecessary waste of time and the "classic" design is, for my money, much worse than Rumble's layout. As I said, it's a proper matrix and because the positions of everything are fixed, it makes it much easier to find the thing you are looking for and over time you'll be able to get to things without even thinking about it.I like handiness of using mod matrixes as they are usually designed, and this one doesn't cut it.
No they don't. What could be more elegant than a simple right-click? I've never tired either MassiveX or Zebra but with PP, any advantage it might have in showing modulation routings is completely undone by the fact the modules can be in any random order and are often invisible in the main UI. OTOH, Rumble has everything in a fixed place and most of it is visible from the main UI at all times, so it doesn't need a complex way of showing modulation routings.Synths like Phase Plant, Massive X, and Zebra 3 do a much better job of clarifying which modulator is attached to what's being modulated.
I doubt you're qualified to judge.I don't watch videos made by idiots. Sorry if you have.
