how do software devs make money nowadays? :hihi: Well, perhaps smaller companies... :hihi: 8)

Subscriptions!!! That is the answer!!!

But what was the question, exactly???

Whatever the question, the answer is...

SUBSCRIPTIONS!!!
I will never buy a subscription on any music software :D

I would move to a 100% Hardware setup if there is no options left in the future. :tu:

That's actually a really good point. If you have a couple of extra in and outs - that's not a bad solution at all.
J60 Heatwave for Omnisphere 3 - Juno-60 Inspired soundbank
HARDWARE SAMPLER FANATIC - Akai S1100/S950/Z8 - Casio FZ20m - Emu Emax I - Ensoniq ASR10/EPS

Yes, of course, since Apple have a loooooong history of breaking backwards compitability. Maintaining compatibility tends to be a lot of work for application developers, which is why WUP is such a fair system - again: those who cause the work pay for it. With most other developers the Windows users have to pay for the Apple development. And that's a fact.
Especially when you have well over 200 plugins of back catalogue.

On the plus side, at least those plugins from 30 years ago will continue to work well into the future. Most people seem to realise thats actually a rare quality from any developer and that is worth money to many.
