About 24 hours left before the intro pricing ends!
I plan to honor the intro pricing for anyone that wasn't able to buy due to a lack of PayPal. Hoping this is ready to go this coming week.
Thanks to everyone who has purchased so far! This launch has gone above my expectations for a first product.
As far as what's next, I have another update coming with a lot of little tweaks, mainly with the usability, and only one that's sound related. It won't affect the sound quality or affect recall. The CPU reduction I spoke of is real, but unfortunately it's a bit less than I originally hoped and varies a bit depending on the DAW, CPU, and OS.
Also working on a couple future products. One being a goofy little brother to Iron Glass. The curves and filters will be more proportional and resonant, and the color of the inductors is also different. This will be a cheaper, mixing focused EQ, but also can be used for mastering. Stay tuned!

.. still not a single proper video or "official" (blog/magazine) review of this plugin. I'm back from my vacation and just worked on two masters for clients and Iron Glass EQ is at the very center of it all. I can not understand how this isn't being plastered all over every single audio youtuber or even written blogs. This thing is stupidly good. I truly have not been this impressed by a plugin for at least a decade. I know it's "just an EQ" but because filters and EQs are the very core of mixing, the incredible naturalness and transparency of this should be _immediately_ obvious to anybody with even a slight clue about mixing.
There are just a few plugins that go on a "must have" list and this is immediately on that list at the very top. I'd even go as far as recommend this as the first EQ plugin for absolutely everybody, BEFORE Pro-Q or other mainstay plugins. It makes every EQ decision so easy. You can place absolutely any sound in any space within a mix, without it loosing the character of the original signal. Even within the hardware realm, this stands right there with the very best.
Example: Got a synth sound that sounds awesome but is just a little bit "too big" to fit the mix? Simple: Just set the low shelf at 400Hz, cut -10dB or more.. is it also a bit too bright and fizzy but you can't cut it with a filter without the sound loosing all of it's original charm in the mix? Simple: set the high shelf to 8kHz and cut generously.. while maybe boosting slightly with a bell at 6kHz to keep the illusion of air and fizzyness. Boom. Instantly gels into any mix and the original source will still "sound the same".. it just magically fits.
No. I am NOT being paid by the developer in any way. This is truly a once in a decade plugin and it frustrates me so unbelievably much that people don't get it. It feels like I've discovered the fountain of youth and I'm trying to tell people "Look!!!! It's right there!!!" and nobody even tries the water.

I think most of the lack of support has to do with my lack of marketing skills and the GUI. Both of which I’m actively working on improving for Iron Glass and future products.
I’ve reached out to quite a few notable engineers, and gotten to make some cool connections I never thought I would. Iron Glass is being used on some big artists and even in a huge tv show that I can’t talk about yet. Having said that, it definitely hasn’t gone mainstream yet. Thankfully, the sales haven’t been a complete flop and most developers would be super happy with the sales number I managed to get for a first product in such a crowded market and not marketing much.
The YouTube influencers have essentially ignored me aside from three. Essentially their response has been “we’ll check it out when we can, very busy”. It is going to be getting a review in TapeOP though, so I’m pretty stoked about that.

That's AWESOME to hear! TapeOP is super legit!
I'm just impatient I guess. I always like it when something very obviously good and made with soul gets some recognition. It feels absolutely criminal to keep this as a secret weapon. This makes everybody's mixing work effort a lot easier and it needs to be shouted over the rooftops. I don't believe at all in keeping secrets or trying to mystify things. Good tools should be shared and appreciated. Hence my absolute meltdown for the virtual non-existing talk about this. As far as I can tell, it's only being discussed here, on Gearspace (according to google) and a single reddit post.. and that one unfortunate video "review" which was combined with that other EQ (which is a MUCH worse plugin in my opinion and getting several videos and reviews elsewhere).
I think it also highlights well how absolutely commercially "corrupt" youtube has become. Nobody actually posts any videos on their own any more. It's 99.9% glorified adds everywhere from every youtuber. Damn I miss the old days when people would just post stuff about the things they like.

At this point, I’d be willing to pay a YouTube influencer to look at it. Hardly anyone will even email me back.bmanic wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 5:32 pm That's AWESOME to hear! TapeOP is super legit!

I’m working with a GUI designer and I have a strong feeling the updated look of Iron Glass will get more widespread attention

There's little incentive for them to do this these days. They're all too busy hawking their AI slop plugins.leckel1996 wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 6:02 pm

It obviously differs between industries, but most influencers post about things they like and without pay. Some might make a tactical post to get a brands attention, but even then it takes time to build authority and a relation that might pay off. That said, they still have to balance their interests against the viewers interests even if said interests are similar or the same. That's usually where the problem lies regardless of any monetary deals.bmanic wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 5:32 pm I think it also highlights well how absolutely commercially "corrupt" youtube has become. i totally support improving the GUI if it helps make the plugin more successful and fund your next masterpiece.
but honestly, i already love it the way it is. it just sounds that good.
kinda embarrassing to admit, but this is the first time i’ve ever bought a plugin without caring what it looked like. i just heard it and bought it.

I really like the current UI too. I hope it doesn't change too much. It's very easy to operate and see the values. Legibility of all the important values is absolutely top notch.

I suspect some people are more visual than others. There have been a good number of people that have called it straight up ugly.vacktothefuture wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 8:27 pm i totally support improving the GUI if it helps make the plugin more successful and fund your next masterpiece.

I like the ui and find it totally functional.
I did a Google image search simply for "eq plugin" and Iron Glass is right in line with most of the mastering style eq's.
I think knob colors make sense if you have visualizer graphics to quickly associate the knobs with what you are seeing. Not necessary without that especially with the clean left to right columns where everything makes sense.
