I mean you already broke the rules so just add the features at this point, no?

There is a difference now because I am entering the contest and am aware of the rules. I informed Ben of the previous situation. He is aware of it and did not disqualify me or feel the need to strictly enforce the rule in this particular situation. Adding features willy nilly might be another matter, but at the end of the day, while I'm happy for others to test the synth in the contest, I am equally happy to make them happy by adding new featuresTechHaus wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2026 12:57 am I mean you already broke the rules so just add the features at this point, no?
I posted in the main developer challenge thread on this topic to see if that rule is open for re consideration and most importantly perhaps to learn more about it. If you have thoughts on this topic, please post there so its not tucked away in this thread where Ben and the other devs might not see.

I think you should respect the integrity of this event. While other devs were getting their wares ready, you were arguing for four days straight about the bible on here. You couldn't even pull yourself away to vibe code, and now the rules should change for you?
And it is kind of shady to enter something you already released when nobody else participating did that, but you said Ben is aware of "the previous situation" so maybe I am wrong about how solid the rules are.

Have a bone do ya? I think you should respect my thread, if you can, and try to add something constructive instead of bringing "this" here. I would like to keep this thread nice and clean on features, bugs, and tips and tricks and not have my post clutter up with people following me around from other threads from hyde park.TechHaus wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2026 5:33 am I think you should respect the integrity of this event. Show me the respect I have shown to your prompts by me PM'ing Ben that could have disqualified me. That's a bold, respectful move bro. Do the same

Hello and thanx for the reply. Adding drag and drop for samples wouldn't be a problem I think. It is more like a bug fix as a new feature, but yes maybe you better check that by the contest admin. I was reading the plugin description a few days ago and maybe I misunderstood it a bit. I thought your plugin was able to create a playable instrument from notes, like most samplers do.Touch The Universe wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2026 12:36 amYes, that would be a cool feature. I'd love to add it but the rules might not allow changes so I need to figure out how to do thisnr1killabee wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 11:40 am Loaded your plugin in Reaper. Seems to work immediately.
I tried drag and drop from Reapers browser but that doesn't seem to work. That would be a cool feature.
I wouldn't worry much about the library. I don't think your plugin needs one. I was triggered to check all fx out myself on my own sample. The effects sound very good.
Is there a manual? I understand the sample is loaded in the plugin but I can't trigger it via midi?
Edit: ow you can acticate midi trigger...cooool
So how do you make an instrument with your sampler? Because that sounds like a cool feature too!![]()
Excellent, sounds like you naturally have no issue just loading and going, haha, just like me. I completely forgot there for a second other might not be that way, which of course is totally fine, if not normal?
Yes. It can be triggered via MIDI. I should probably have that be the default. I find it easier to just load it and play without needing to draw MIDI but that was for testing purposes, in real life workflow it might call for something else.
You can load single samples, and multisamples by the way. Furthermore, you can have elastic as a mode too if you want to play chords with a rhythmic sample and it will be the same temp. I have not tested this too much and yesterday I noticed a large delay, so I likely to smoothen things out (which I would not call a new feature, so i should be able to add).
As I'm starting to sound design in this thing, I'm noticing immidiately a need to be able to stack atleast two samples, like a normal pad layer, then having another layer that is wild with FX. That would be my intended workflow. I'd add this immidiately, if I could![]()
What do you mean by instrument? Do you mean make a preset out of it so the sample will load inside the plugin?
I am likely going to implement this entire synth inside a much larger vsti synth instrument, if that is what you mean. One that has a dozen types of synthesis, and a massive array of fx, into a massive synth I'm building. This is just an off shoot on that project or rather a seperate idea I built outside of the larger synth do to its already complex nature. It makes sense to start this idea fresh on its own which is what Focus Time is as of now. It is rad, has potential, but ultimately have larger plans for it. Beefing it up on its own, then implementing it inside a larger project.
Like you feed it with a C1 note and it streches the note over some octaves on the keyboard and saves it as a preset.

Ah, got it. Yes, in that case, it will do just that. You can set it to midi and load a sample say c4 and it will fill out the entire piano, so you can play higher notes or even chords, up to 8 voices. You can also load multisamples which will sound much better than a single sample stretched.nr1killabee wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2026 5:57 amHello and thanx for the reply. What do you want dude? Are you trying out the synth? Are you enjoying it? Do you have anything relevant to add besides getting into a stink at a video that had 64 whopping views in a month before the contest?
Thanks for the bumps, you have likely contributed to the video getting atleast 25 views by doing so
