Tilr, developer of Rippler and other free plugins, has released TetraOP, a new free, open-source 4-operator FM and wavetable Synthesizer plugin for macOS, Linux, and Windows.

It was developed as part for the KVR Developer Challenge 2026. It's now available on GitHub.

very nice freebie...thanks for the tip!

That sounds really good. Thank you very much!

It crashes in the Windows version of Renoise upon loading it. I like how it shows how many of my CPU's cores are being used up. I may still keep Bazille because of how stable, versatile, and rich-sounding it is.

Thanks. Gonna install it on the weekend.

Mac:

whats *exactly* the "unlock" text ?
I would like to use it. I liked the YT video very much.

this:
sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /path/to/your/plugin/TetraOP.component
what exactly ?

looks here like:
MacintoshHD/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components/TetraOP.component

it should lead imo to: (i have no clue)
sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /MacintoshHD/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components/TetraOP.component

It was not working !

i get this fail message:
xattr: No such file: /MacintoshHD/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components/TetraOP.component

(The .component file has been placed in the "Components" folder / my mac has been power cycled since)

anyone a clue ?

The volume name (MacintoshHD) isn't actually part of the path, so that would just be

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plugins/Components/TetraOP.component
