VST3 random sample with each note

I am looking for very simple VST3 instrument, that I would give it a folder with samples, and it would then RANDOMLY play them with each note.

That is, let's say, I give it a folder containing 20 different audio files (some short loops, some one shots, whatever), and when I play any note in it, it should randomly select one of those an play it back, if possible, some tweaks could be applied (like auto time stretch, glitches, or whatever...but this is optional, it is not a must).

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY FREE VST3 INSTRUMENT THAT WOULD DO THIS?

I think Rando can do similar things like what you mentioned. Maybe not exactly what you want, but you may like it. It's not free however.

Reaper DAW
JS plugins
Midi Pattern/Scale Variation Generator
My controller can send 16 different notes from 1 key, I set each one to a different note.
Set the sampler key range and midi channel of your sampler.
Enjoy some randomness with every note.

Also worth checking out:
JS Midi Note Randomizer
JS Midi Modal Randomness

I am not looking for a DAW solution (and most definitely not Reaper, gee!), I need separate VST3 plugin - my DAW of choice is Cubase Pro (proud user for many yrs now, best of the best DAW outthere...at least for me).

Well, in case of NOT FREEWARE, the absolute TOPNOTCH in this case/scenario is Speedrum 2: you just grab whatever number of samples you have, drag all of them into one PAD and set it to RANDOM, that's it! BUT I AM LOOKING FOR A SIMPLE FREEWARE OPTION...

I haven’t tried it, but it’s free and in it’s description it says:

“MIDI key based, round-robin, random or modulator based group triggering”

If you have Cubase Pro you already have the answer. Use Groove Agent which comes with it

Just open it up, take your samples in what ever folder in the Media bay, and drag all of them onto a single drum pad.

Right click on that pad to open the sample editing zone. Look for the Mode setting, change this setting from Velocity (default) to Random or Random Exclusive. If you select random it will be truly random. That means in theory that the same sample could play 2 or more times in a row

If you select random exclusive it will not repeat a sample until all of them have been played

Guys thank you all, but some of you still missing one very important part of my question: FREEWARE SOLUTION, for my own reasons I am looking for a separate (not DAW integrated) VST3 simple freeware solution (as a payed option I already have Speedrum 2 - it is not the case of me NOT HAVING PAYED SOLUTION, I am just looking for the FREEWARE ONE)...

An idiot on Set Theory:

Awesome then why did you say you have Cubase? Why are you yelling? And why didn't you state that you already have software that can do this but you are looking specifically for freeware and why you are?

Because it originally came across like you were looking for a solution for this without spending money

I am sorry I took the time to try and help you

The one I mentioned, TX16Wx, is free. There is a version you can pay for, but if you don’t need the additional features, it’s a freebie.

You do not need to know my reasons WHY I DO WANT TO HAVE FREEWARE for this athough I have Cubase Pro - where is the problem for you? It is clearly stated IT HAS TO BE FREEWARE no matter what I have or have not, in fact it is not yer bussiness.
