(see previous post for "superlove" filter)

`oscValue = -waveshape::trisaw(feedbackSignal + 0.25725, shape)`

the trisaw is to throw you for a loop. we don't need sin() to get resonance because triangle is sinewavey enough, it's a lo fi sine. triangle is the poor man's sine.

perhaps tri turns to sine over time because of compounding linearity becoming nonlinearity.

edit: wait a minute, did the ai use sin()? :dog: sin() works too, as long as it's a normalized -1 to +1 sine waveshaper. ok so the video demo uses sin.

here is the 2 dimensional chaos generator that, if explored, produces a lot of behaviors depending on settings. IMPORTANT: use a non-resonant filter.

🔼 and this is chaosfly in a nutshell

i created soundemote.io/sandbox to explore this universe

here is the nutcase in action

pi digits turned into a 5 second noise source: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fold ... EfWqi8en66

my hypothesis is that there's something special about pi noise, i just don't know what.

Post

the error is the chaos, and the chaos is the error, ad infinitum 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1

tldr: from pure random falls out pure order

are black holes clocks for local spacetime? ⬛⬜⬛⬜⬛⬜⬛⬜

the brian does not like it when it senses that something broke the laws of physics (clipping and aliasing)

Post

my conclusion is that our brain is capable of comprehending infinity <- as soon as we define it

Post

in our reality, perhaps infinity = pi, or pi is the starting value of the universe.
edit: but then things break down because why would a runaway value be the starting value. so maybe im wrong.

Post

what if the starting value was 0

Post

Neither clipping nor aliasing "broke the laws" of anything. They are both literally the effect of correct application of mathematics.

i propose this: it's been 5 pages already, it's time for a short "summary" post
any volunteers?

i didn't learn anything... directly (it still doesn't make sense to me), but i did see some more patterns, from which i reached some conclusions

i'm confused, is "infinity == 0" or is "infinity == pi"
make up your mind, the area of a circle involves infinity? how does that make any sense, what about another circle that has 1.5 times the diameter?

does this honestly help you in any way to become better at coding, or better at math, or better at DSP, or better at putting a plan together, or... better at anything?
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!
