Will it allow the driver to work if I do this ==>
disable Core Isolation/Memory Integrity

and should I be protected security wise if I do so?
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

Not sure how windows 10 looks but on windows 11 25H2 the core isolation page has the option to disable the Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist, if it's greyd out have a look at this thread for more info.

Security wise you will be less secure since the Windows will not block those drivers if the for some reason are loaded/installed.
Of course Microslop can't be arsed to make it possible for the user to unblock specific drivers only, apparently its a bigger security risk to have one unblocked driver from the list than unblock the whole list... /s

You'll need to do some work if you want that device working. Some of that will involve the BIOS. Such is the case with old hardware. If you don't want to do it yourself, maybe tag a techy friend who can come over and do it?

In the support document you linked, go down to the FAQ section, and there's the "How do I turn off the Windows Driver Policy". Just ensure you turn off bitlocker before you follow those instructions, otherwise you'll end up in bitlocker recovery mode. Just search for bitlocker in Settings, and make sure all drivers are no longer encrypted. This can take an hour or so, depending on size/speed of drive.

Then read and follow the instructions exactly. The way most people get themselves into trouble with fixes like this is they skim instructions, or just scroll down to the bullet points.

Will you still be protected abused driver certificates? No. You'll be in exactly the same state you were before April, or on Windows 10.

This is unrelated to core isolation, vulnerable driver lists, etc. None of that applies. This is specific to the Vista-timeframe and now disallowed signing method some drivers use. We stopped allowing new kernel driver submissions using that signing method 5-6 years ago.

damn,
I need to get a new soundcard then I guess

thanks for the troubleshooting

should I contact M-Audio about writing a current driver?

My M-Audio Audiophile USB cards still work, must have the existing method of driver signing

Hardware devices can be blocked from updating. I got help on that here a couple of years ago.
It involved taking hardware device id and copy elsewhere as a setting.
- it was your help here
viewtopic.php?p=9002459&hilit=hardware#p9002459

Look if windows update changed driver somehow. I had my manufacturer driver was changed to some Microsoft HxD or something for a 3rd party usb 3 card.
- pick update driver is device manager and see if something to choose from
- I managed to switch back

The very reason I stopped updates overall since 18 months, since Windows 11 is not online unless doing certain software installs.
- WUB windows update blocker seem to work

It costs nothing to create a support ticket.

Looks supported alright. Bummer it doesn't state what date this was published.

The alternative is to use this device solely class compliant. MacOs or linux it is, then. Or is wasapi workable? Asio4All? Rumours are that Microsoft works on ASIO built in to Windows itself for all class-compliant devices.

I apparently missunderstood this post as I thought it this was a question about the recently updated Driver Blocklist since that has been a recurrent issue last month or two. (I don't think that blocking devices from updating works if the driver is on the Blocklist since Windows will refuse to load the driver...if your system is up to date)

However, the good thing is that Psychlist1972 understood the issue, the information in his post with OPs link has all the info that is needed if one decides to bypass it as IIRC did the same procedure a couple of years ago when setting up my previous DAW to run a AMD Ryzen 5700X on Windows 7.

I should have remembered to mention the retarded Bitlocker issue that so many users have unknowingly triggered...guess the heatwave melted my brain. Not a suprised though since my limited knowledge is mainly centered around disable most of the standard security functions and not really about how to maintain them...so Bitlocker is mainly a faint memory from the last time I did a clean install of Windows...but I digress.

My apologies to the OP for poor reading comprehension.

..and YES you should write M-Audio about the issue and ask them to sort it...I doubt they will, but you should ask them as in at least give them a chance to do the right thing.
