Not to sound like a broken record, but the retrigger modes still do not work in 2.0. 1 (MacOS).temporubato wrote: Tue Jun 30, 2026 1:25 pm Ok, thanks for feedback! We now declared the 2.0.1 RC1 as official.
I believe we can now sail along a bit with this version until we do the next![]()

Also, fingered portamento/glissando is not working either (this has already been reported in Flyspray for quite some time, FS#2278).
Possibly related to the voicing modes not working.

Ok, here is 2.0.2 release candidate 1 with the retrigger & single-trig fixes. Also, a new "Edit All" toggle button on top instead of the menu entries. But SHIFT and SHIFT+ALT always win.

Enjoy!

Hi Rolf,
Thank you very much! I tested the new version (MacOS VST3) and the single trigger modes are working as intended
A couple of bugs are remaining however:
- The Low and High Retrigger modes are behaving strangely. For example, in Low Retrigger mode, if I hold a key and press a higher key it does not sound (as intended). However if I continue to hold the first key, then play a lower key followed by a higher key, the higher key does sound the second time. Vice versa for the High Retrigger mode.
- Echoing EvilDragon's observation above, the Fingered Portamento and Fingered Glissando modes are also not working as intended. They are both active when playing either legato (correct behaviour) or staccato (incorrect behaviour).
Hopefully these are easy fixes.
Thanks once again for your incredible work on this truly wonderful synthesizer.

FWIW the updated ipad version has the same voicing / glide issues as I reported above for the MacOS version.

I am not noticing any issues, I don't play staccato very often however. I am also on Windows 11Rivertropic wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2026 9:33 am Hey, any news on the functioning Microwave update?

No issues when playing staccato. It's with mono legato. Try setting up a lead patch with fingered portamento. In this mode stacatto notes slide, but they shouldn't.IvyBirds wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2026 8:34 pmI am not noticing any issues, I don't play staccato very often however. Not to be flippant but you are literally saying the issue is when you play staccato while also saying there is no issue playing staccato but I get what you are trying to saystimresp wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2026 9:00 pmNo issues when playing staccato. When I think of portamento on the Microwave, I am actually thinking about the PPG Wave and how Froese from Tangerine Dream did so on songs like White Eagle. He was playing Legato so the notes would slide smoothly and the envelopes wouldn't retrigger. That works flawlessly for me
I don't really think this is an issue for most users
In any case, I have the PPG Wavetables inside of UVI Falcon and HALion7. If I am going for the kind of expression where I would want to play such things staccato while also in portamento, I would rather do so there because I would also be seeking MPE which the Microwave can't do

You misunderstand. Read the manual. The Glide modes are clearly explained on page 23.IvyBirds wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2026 10:49 pm

Fingered portamento / glissando means that when - in one of the voice (re)trigger modes - you play staccato (i.e. you release one key before pressing the next) there is no glide between notes. However, when you play legato (i.e. you keep a key pressed while playing the next key overlapping) there should be glide between notes.
This feature is not working in the latest version. A bug is a bug.
You are projecting. Fingered portamento is an important musical articulation that is near ubiquitous. It should work as stated in the manual.
Not sure why you mention Falcon and Halion. This is Microwave.

Only it's not neat ubiquitous, seems like you are the one who is projecting. The original PPG Wave which the Microwave replicates didn't have it. The Minimoog doesn't have it, the Prophet 5 didn't have it. The DX7 didn't have it.stimresp wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2026 11:29 pmYou misunderstand. Read the manual. And I never said it shouldn't work as in the manual, all I am saying is that this issue isn't going to effect most users at all, and will only effect the rest on very specific situations. The way people are talking in this thread is that the entire plugin is a piece of garbage that doesn't work, rather than an obscure feature most people won't use, that isn't on many of the other synths they own not working correctly
Because for hyper expressive playing where I might want to mix staccato notes with portamento I would also want to include MPE which could then use things like Polyphonic Aftertouch to adjust various things on a per note basis around itNot sure why you mention Falcon and Halion. This is Microwave.
