Hi, I know that some people have achieved amazing flute simulations and electric guitars and such in Phase Plant. But I've also heard that Pigments might be the best software synth out there.
For these uses (trying to achieve a realistic flute, horn, or brass sound), is Phase Plant better than Pigments?

Check out Joe Blanco Berg's Phase Plant presets. He did some nifty instrument emulations, with quite complex envelopes and modulations to achieve realism--this me be harder to achieve in Pigments, or even impossible if he used more oscillators than are available in Pigments. Each one has a video (I have not bought them, as they are way out of my price range).
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.
