No sales, No discounts ever. Same price as omnisphere 3
The great expansion libraries available by retailers like ZeroG "Total Rex" have been taken offline, often on sale for only 30$ you could get 5gb of loops
I was considering purchasing if I found someone selling for 200$, but the fact I cant even get total rex anymore dropped my motivation
a week of working at mcdonalds to purchase a 20 year old drum sampler, come on lol

Spectrasonics no longer sell this, the product has been retired, and placed in the Legacy category with the old instruments a few years ago now. Maybe retailers/resellers still have stock somewhere, perhaps, and that’s what you are seeing?
It doesn’t really make sense to buy it these days, given it’s status, even though it’s still supported.

Eversince I saw videos of people using it and it I liked the loops workflow, it's still available on some retailers like https://www.ilio.com/stylus-rmx (https://www.ilio.com/stylus-rmx)beely wrote: Sun Jul 12, 2026 9:45 pm Spectrasonics no longer sell this, the product has been retired, and placed in the Legacy category with the old instruments a few years ago now. I agree it's outdated but I watched some guy I know using it and he talked about "oh I bought these presets long ago "total rex" so it's disappointing zerog took those down as he was using them a lot and I liked the sounds
also the workflow I saw was dropping multiple loops into midi tracks, slicing them up, it seemed fun but for 400$ argh lol with all the sales going on and stuff like IK Total Studio Max for 150$ durring Black Friday etc it just feels like a kick in the face, I wish THIS plugin would have a sale lol

Try starting a "WTB" thread in the buy&sell forum, that's how I got my copy (well technically I spotted a "FS" thread where a member was selling it) I think for 150-ish?, usd, but idk what the resale median price might be considered atp. If you buy it 2nd hand it becomes nfr though.
It's my most used plugin by far, AINEC. You're right to want it.

It comes w/ a ton of loops preloaded, I think all the expansions are pretty standard with most copies people have. And there are some good places to buy rex loops online still, if you poke around. Rhythm Lab, UNDGRND & Apollo Sound are three I've used. Even loopmasters has some good options, depending on your genre.
It's a unique tool imo, unmatched in many ways, still. Esp. If you're a breaks/breakbeat producer.

https://www.spectrasonics.net/products/ ... erview.phpStylus RMX is now a legacy instrument, but still working well on all platforms, fully supported and available for sale as a special order item. We plan to continue maintenance updates for the foreseeable future, as we know how important it is to keep RMX working for so many of our users existing sessions
