No, we are not "exponentially pushing into a new age of synthesis", a new age of bombast meets ignorance, perhaps.

That is not a issue for me and if i want a automatic filter sweep i use the lfo or record it manually in my daw.
Having 1 oscillator with a few modes to change the sound is a bigger issue for me.
The Mini D does sound fat and juicy but i own a Model D so i don't need the Mini

Yes, agreed. The Mini D has a serious problem in that it can't be used as a proper monosynth (no single oscillator unless used polyphonically).

Which really is just weird for an inexpensive entry level instrument when you think about it.Uncle E wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2026 5:46 pm Yes, agreed. The Mini D has a serious problem in that it can't be used as a proper monosynth (no single oscillator unless used polyphonically).

How much did the UAD Galaxy stompbox affect that demo? Didn't see anything in the description. Doesn't sound bad IMO, but then again I'm hard pressed to find any synth that sounds bad in talented hands. I've had a lot of synths that I didn't make good sounds with due to the interface(and lack of patience), but this seems accessible even to my untalented hands (and ears). Blabbering finished.

His videos usually blow me away. Maybe I was expecting too much.

I have to see some of his other ones to compare... and maybe listen with my better headphones(and sober. My father was too sharing with cognac and I'm not used to it anymore. Alco that is, not the sharing.) Blabbering on again...

That's actually a big thing. I wish Behringer would add CCs to more of their analogs.

I dont see the point of the AKS mini, they should have designed it like the Volca Modular

Yeah. It sounds just like any subtractive analog. I was expecting at least something that made the original so cool and quirky.VariKusBrainZ wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 2:46 pm I dont see the point of the AKS mini, they should have designed it like the Volca Modular

Yeah, first listen doesn't make me go wow. It's got pretty lights though, definitely approve of that. It has a joystick...and it makes it go wibble wibble
.
If the VCS3 eventually comes out and sounds like that...my disappointment will know no bounds.
