You're right, that doesn't turn off for everybody. Individual/isolated acts is not what is needed. It's mass action. If that's what you want to say with this message.
That makes me think about climate crisis, when medias make individuals feel guitly when nobody in this media ask the system in it self which leads to that climate crisis.

It's hilarious that you seem to think your music is any less generic than Katy Perry's. Trust me, it's not. In fact, your stuff makes Katy Perry's seem fresh and new.

The what now? Nobody needs melodies to write a song.
Otherwise it will become monotonous pretty quickly. IMO
Everything has it's place. Possibly my favourite song on our new album has the same, simple bassline through the whole song. It's just a 1 bar pattern of C1, C2 and C2#. Over and over again. It starts and stops a few times but that's it. Even the drums are just straight 4 on the floor with a sampled hi-hat loop. No fills, no rolls. The only other musical part is a TRK-01 (full version) arpeggio that only comes in twice, one for 8 bars and once for 4.

Musically, it is so simple, so repetitive that we'd never have come up with it ourselves but the AI did and we resisted the temptation to f**k with it too much. Why it works so well is because of the vocals. Even they are mostly spoken word but the pacing and arrangement of them, with the juxtaposition of the driving rhythm, are what makes the song work, and it works unbelievably well. I posted a link to the AI version on Soundcloud on one of these threads a few days ago, so you can hear for yourself how something simple, done well, can work. Here it is again -

I can assure you that it does.

That's a very self-centred and selfish way to look at the world, don't you think? I think a much better approach for you would be to point out that the internet, overall, does far more good than harm. To simply suggest to someone that if they aren't happy with it they can simply opt-out is to tell them to abrogate their social responsibility, which is not a good look.

With the sonic power of the tools we have available today, I think the whole idea of chords is basically redundant. I realise that for guitarists it's how you access/create notes but keyboard players can have any combination of notes at any time, so it doesn't need to be a "thing" for us. It seems like a very restrictive way of approaching song writing to me, especially if it's the first thing you set and everything else has to hang off it.

@Bones.
When people wish to force something on a population just because THEY don't like something like Seafire MK2 i offer them to be the change they want to see and lead by Example.

So that quote you took out of context was aimed at Seafire MK2 since he want internet to be shut down for everyone...

The tiny out of context quoting from you to make other people look bad and to have something to be an ass about is getting boring.

You are welcome to join the full discussion on a subject but so far it doesn't look like you are capable to do that since it is all about taking things out of context and attack.
