Its a creative fx processor with focus on generative modulation sequencing. Its more suited for a quick workflow rather than manual control (even though thats possible too but not the point of the plugin). If TP2 is more about control, this one will be more suited for happy accidents. It's also a response to the most frequent feedback I've received on TP2 from the start.parma wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 1:14 am Hey phasefiasco, how is work coming on the other effect you're working on? Can you share any more info on that?
The sequencers didn't fit into TP2 which was originally intended, so I'm exploring a different route/plugin for this one. It does have an excellent graph editor though which I'll most likely port to TP2. The graph editors in TP2 works and are useful, but they could be more intuitive and inviting for quick control, this one totally does the job very well.
The style/atmosphere is drastically different than TP2 (terminal, retro CRT, glitchy, color coded and animation driven) which I believe to become more appreciated objectively. They do share some effects, some missing, some added to fit the direction and purpose.

Maybe all it Name Fiasco. lolphasefiasco wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 4:46 pmI think there would be a lot of confusion when changing name on the plugin 3 weeks post releasezerocrossing wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 5:21 am May I make a suggestion? Maybe change the name to Time Fiasco. Tape has pretty specific characteristics and what can be done with it, and it seems odd to call it Tape Fiasco.![]()
Any name change confusion would not be critical. It's a branding decision. If the plugin has nothing to do with tape but has "Tape" in the name, that is confusing and possibly. a business risk (annyong a customer that thought it had something to do with tape, possibly causing support over-head, refund and costs). Where-as the risk of changing the name is... not much risk. From a business analysis perspective its only logical to remove "tape" from the product name.

Maybe I'm just a moron and in the minority here, but I have never taken issue with the name.
