This guy is fairly well known and I doubt that he vibecoded anything himself considering the whole thing has NI's aesthetic written all over it. It's going to be backed by Reaktor like all their other "small" synths.
Whether it was literally vibe-coded or just built from reusing Reaktor assets isn't the point, and doesn't change it. NI put zero actual investment into this, like most of their output in recent years.
Munin wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 12:59 am I like the idea of opinionated, artist-based synths on paper, kind of as an analogue to boutique guitar pedals. $99 is way too much for something like this though.
This is emblematic of NI being out of ideas, direction, money, and time. inMusic is just trying to cash-in however they can with the least amount of effort at this point. They gutted NI just today with mass firings.

I mean what do you expect them to do though when they are not in a position to take big risks to begin with? Just roll over and die?

Native Instruments died a long time ago. Now they're just robbing the grave.

It's odd to me that people who like music didn't log into soundcloud in the mid 10's and hear PC Music.

Nor did they see what "Brat summer" was about in 2024.

Nor did they look up who Sophie collaborated with when news of their tragic death was everywhere.

Etc. etc...

Just odd to me. No curiosity.

I just said something to the effect that some people on here are truly bonkers but I think it goes without saying

I'm very independent. I don't follow the trends.

The responses, and the responders, are so predictable.

Kvr is the best! :hihi:

A few months back everybody was predicting the imminent demise of NI. Now when they release something new, that is not a sample library, but actually a new synth and people are piling on because of the visuals looks like Fors and they are name-dropping some artist half of us don't know?

Yeah. Not fun. But that's to be expected, no? If a company is near bankruptcy and is getting bought up by a larger player with cash on their hands, I don't think they would keep the previous business model in place.

Well, InMusic bought Native Instruments (the umbrella company), then spun off Plugin Alliance back to Dirk Ulrich and iZotope to some guy named Boris, and now they're gutting Native Instruments (the MI company) obviously to cannibalize NI's IP into other InMusic brands. But hey, at least it's not Music Tribe! :phew:
