Hi

Can anyone help?

I’m reading a book about programming drums, but need a GM drum kit so I can try programming some of the examples. Even if the quality of the samples are notso hotso. (I can’t seem to get my ones on my soundcard to work so I’ve scraped that idea.) And all the other drum kits I have are kind of randomly placed on the keyboard.

Is there a place where I can download a full GM drum set patch ? It would really help me understand the examples.

Strange that the soundcard's GM kit does not work...

You can construct your own kit using your own samples, or samples you found elsewhere. I recall there are some nice GM soundfonts to be found at www.hammersound.net in the "collections" section. If you use SFZ as soundfont player inside TobyBears MiniHost, you should have a working setup. With Awave or the Chicken translator you can convert SF2 files to Akai format.
